Absolute trash of a service. Multiple issues that land squarely within Bluehost's circle of responsibility and they have precisely zero interest in looking to help. Bluehost exploits people with little to no technical knowledge and refuse to offer adequate support or assistance. When challenged by a someone with solid technical knowledge, it quickly becomes apparent that Bluehost do not know what they are doing by asking inane questions and assigning blame to third parties to dodge responsibility to their clients. Avoid using Bluehost at all costs. Even a free service isn't good value if it doesn't work and they refuse to help you.

Horrific service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Lost all my websites (literally reverted to how it was 4 years earlier), wouldn't help when contacted, luckily the databases were ok so I've managed to recover the novels I was working on through word press. Sold contact details from a free .online tld to other companies.
Won't let me or help me get two .tlds that won't unlock properly. "Claim" it's down too Icann...
Wat utter rubbish. Only.got a star as I have to give one!

Bluehost has a culture that is very disruptive to the customer!! When I call tech support I can barely hear the technician's answers/explanations because of the loud background noise--loud music, employees goofing off with loud conversation and laughter, and other strange sounds. This is a problem because their platform is very confusing. I created a site using Weebley but when I return to edit the site, I have to do a lot of work to find where they have stored it. I will be returning to GoDaddy. Their platform is easy to navigate and their tech support team act like professionals and not kids on a playground.

Paid 12 months of hosting. The site was down constantly on the first month and get worse on the 2nd month. Asking for a refund:
"Oh we do not offer refund after 30 days sorrryyy"
So we paid for 12 months and if you decide to quit half the way, you are dumped. Thanks, Bluehost, you are teaching internet 101 don't trust the internet with all your heart.

My website will not work with google because of SSL Certificate problems Bluehost has not resolved after talking to three different representatives and a referred SiteLock Representative. I got an upsell that will total at least $354 yearly without any basic resolution of the problem I telephoned about. A Bluehost tech representative is given 72 hours to resolve the issue. It has been longer than 72 hours.

not only do they just want your $, they'll selling expensive packages that are next to useless. I tried to ask why their server response time was SO SLOW. (4 second first byte response!) and their answer was basically 'nothing we can do, please buy our VPS plan'....

bluehost.com is a scam, scam, scam. Do not involve yourself with this company in any way. Their aim is to steal your money, truly. Scam works like this: You sign up for cheap price, then year later get notice you need to renew your credit card into. So you go in, do that. Then you receive bill for more than double amount you paid originally stating you will be auto-renewed.
Try to go into your account now and select 'non-renew', cancel their 'service', remove your credit card info, and, guess what? You are locked out. Your password no longer works. So you get a hold of them through their joke customer support, 'Chat'. They send you an endless number of password reset links which do not work. They try to tell you they cannot change you auto-renew status or remove your credit card info and send you an email and new bill reflecting these changes.
You have a life and do not have hours and hours and hours to go through their purposefully designed to confuse support system. So auto-renew date comes up, ''Ka-ching!'' bluehost.com robs your bank account.
Then you have to fight 'em to try to claw your bucks back.
Do not go near these thieves and if you are already using them, get your bank to block 'em access to your money.

Bluehost took my money for 3 years, and immediately blocked my domain without any reason. The support chat says, they can not help.
They asking for verification of my identity (passport and electric bill). Even after sending them they are not giving my domain or redeem my money.

AWFUL, as others have said. They do indeed steal money from you. Context: I signed up for a hosting account on a shared server on bluehost. They then forced an upgrade (one they enacted without my consent). Suddenly, I was on "plus hosting", which offers no real benefits compared to the original plan on a shared server, but resulted in them charging me 40% more!! When I raised the issue with them, pointing out the problem, they admitted that it was indeed a forced upgrade and were "sorry for the inconvenience". But no, they were not going to refund me the difference. An absolute SCAM of a company.

Please beware and steer clear of BLUEHOST as web hosts. We spent 2 years and thousands of dollars making a classifieds website . It had traffic of 5 - 15,000 per day and was growing . Blue host discovered there were personals ads on our website and immediately blocked it and removed the whole URL with zero warning or notice . They informed us we had 48 hours before account was wiped and we weren't able to access cPanel to get a proper backup. The only backups we had were over a month old which was our fault but if they had of given warning or allowed us in just once to make backups we'd be fine. Stay away from these scumbags. They wiped away months of work and thousands of dollars because they're based on UTAH so likely they Mormon fuc***s. Stay away from their hosting they are scum and the business suffered immensely simply because they don't have any common courtesy . Scum all of them . Thanks

Useless, beyond useless infact.
The first line has no knowledge and no access to anything they are simply an obstruction.
It took me 4 days to get them to admit they cannot turn off their autodiscover redirection which kills outlook 2016.
So avoid at all costs, especially if you have office 365

Absolutely terrible service! Complete rip-off when it comes to support. They've outsourced it all to Indian reps who are poorly trained and very lazy in terms of responsiveness.
Save your money and go elsewhere. You've been warned
