So it turns out I broke the single season wins record last year (I got bored and looked at the record book.)

I dunno what the previous record was because Yahoo apparently doen't keep it after you replace it

I am interested in trading for a reliable goalie. This Kings-Devils-Flyers-Coyotes goaltending set isn't doing me any favors.

I’ve got two philadelphia flyer goalies but they’re both in hospital and my best guys have been Kuemper and Blackwood.

We’ve defied all conventional logic in being near the top of the standings and carrying flyers goalies.

lehner (an islander goalie!) has been the only reason i'm 2nd in gaa and 6th in sv%. has somehow cancelled out how terrible allen is.

Benched Kuemper’s shutout tonight to start Quick ... who was a late scratch for illness. :/

SO GLAD I TRADED A YOUNG KUCHEROV FOR ROBERTO FUCKING LUONGO.

But just look at me now. All my goaltending woes are ... ugh.

Oh, that’s now consecutive confirmed starts that got revoked. Quick was confirmed to start Saturday then didn’t, and Kuemper was confirmed to start yesterday and didn’t.

Oakland calls up F Nolan Patrick to the active roster, signs F Sasha Chmelevski to the farm.

This threw me for a loop. I was like "Sasha Chmelevski? I know that name, I've heard it a million times, how can there be a prospect whose name I've heard a million times be freely available for pickup and I never noticed?"

Then I realized: Ottawa 67s. I've heard his name in the local junior team news so many times, I assumed he was a more prominent prospect than he is.

(and the answer to "How did a guy named Chmelevski slip past Nash?", is "He's from California, not Russia".

I've been following him anyway(Sharks prospect, good preseason showing) but decided I should pick him up after his 5-goal game yesterday(Monday).

I never bench Jones and I did it today because his last few starts have been horrible. He gets a shutout. This is why my team sucks.

So I think the magic number starting the week was 272, pretty much means the top 5 are in the playoffs at this point. I think the number will drop to the mid/lower 260s, but all 5 teams are set to hit the 272 number from this week so it shouldnt matter.

It looks fairly likely 3 spots will still be available going into the final week barring a big turnaround in some of the matches this weekend. If current results hold those 3 spots will be down to seven teams (current 6th-12th) and LL who would need to win by 11-0 or 12-0, but it would take a pretty lopsided result to knock out the 6-8 guys.

Current results before fri-sun games:

Doom 291
Vorn 288
tmg 282
Husker 281
ewuoy 279
Ben 249
twisted 243
Nash 243
----
pp 236
TheKhaos 235
BKB 233
denkaas 231
LL 221
M2D 190
Spartan 190
Randal 146

Ofc there are a lot of games this weekend so the standings will change big time, but I was bored and wanted to kill some time....

Good luck!

With BKB and PP facing each other next week, I think that kills my odds of passing both of them next week, even if any of us catch Nash.

It's good to know there's a bit of a chance though, it's been a while.

Our trade deadline is always two weeks after nhl trade deadline right? Even though yahoo has it marked as feb 21, we can actually make trades up until ... mar 11, we just need someone with commissioner priv to force the roster changes because yahoo won’t do it?

Or have we switched that and are officially using yahoo’s stated deadline now?

Yahoo's trade deadline choices typically never went late enough for us, the last bit was always manually pushed through if needed. Trade away for another week, I will rearrange the players on Yahoo myself.

I mean who even solves that problem this year? The best goalies have been who? Vasilevskiy and a bunch of players that weren't on anyone's list to start the year (Islanders, Stars, and Binnington). The Metro Trio, Bob, Holtby and Murray haven't been as good this year. Rinne has been okay. Halak took enough starts off Rask to lower his value. The actual best goalie in the West (imo, Gibson) had such a terrible team in front of him that his fantasy value is abysmal. I guess MAF's 2nd half of the year is good enough to be mentioned too.

Goaltending is such a crapshoot in fantasy now.

Yup. I’ve actuallly been decent in net lately because Kuemper - on a 7 game win streak. But my faith that he’ll hold up when I need it is low...

Freddie Andersen was great in the first half of the season for me then he got hurt.

Hellebuyck has been streaky all year, I'm actually convinced he's playing injured too.

Brossoit has been decent as well and I kinda regret dropping McElhenney

andersen had a .923 sv% preinjury and has a .924 sv% since he's been back! he's been really consistent.

i went from being horrified preseason with allen as my main guy to somehow having one of the best tandems in the league with lehner and binnington.

I just checked the game logs. Holy crap I’ve never seen so much consistency. In his past 17 games played, he’s allowed either 2 or 3 goals in 15 of them. The two outlier games - he allowed 4 once and 1 once.

Yeah, Freddie is super consistent. The garbage games are ones Sparks starts. He’s the reason we’re fourth in the league.

Damn, lost Mike Green for the playoffs. Hope Minnesota knocks Michigan out of the tourney this weekend so I can maybe tryout Hughes. Not sure what Vancouver would be looking to give him icetime wise or if its even a thing that he'll play this year. I know I saw some noise on it a few weeks ago but can't find anything definite now.

Dougie Hamilton is available.

Depth guys, too. Niederreiter has 19 points in 20 games with the Canes, but is off my protection list...Jeff Carter, Jake Muzzin... I'm willing to listen to offers on Fleury, but unless my socks are blown off I intend on keeping him.
