Claude (ć‚Æćƒćƒ¼ćƒ‰, Kurōdo) is a character introduced in Samurai Shodown Sen.

Story[]

He is a guard from a foreign kingdom who washed ashore in Japan with Suzu ten years before the game begins. Realizing that they may never see their home again and suffering under amnesia, he adopts the land's culture and trains himself in kendo with a respectable monk. One night, he was attacked by someone who hailed from his home country. Curious, he journeys away from his residence to investigate.

Claude regains his memories when he faces Golba. He learns that he was a hero who frequently rebelled against the villain in the past. After he learns Golba's plot, he takes it upon himself to defeat him. In his ending, he saves Suzuhime and decides to send her to her home in Lesphia. However, once he sees her loved ones calling out to her, he can't bring himself to say his wishes and leaves unnoticed. Several years later, he ascends the ranks of his temple as the head priest.

Personality[]

Claude is a devout believer in religion and a serious combatant. He seems torn between his present status in Japan and his past life in Lesphia.

Fighting Style[]

Claude fights using powerful one hit attacks which can half an opponent's life bar. He can combo these strikes together, making him an easy to use character for beginners. His main drawback is his range and his speed as he recovers at a rather slow rate from his slash attacks.
