Faust's scalpel

This unnamed scalpel is a recurring weapon in the Guilty Gear series. The signature weapon of Dr. Baldhead/Faust, it is a gigantic six-foot^[1] stainless steel surgical scapel. He is shown to be able to change it into other items.

• Pre-release articles for the original Guilty Gear show that during development the scalpel was called 巨大メスの丸刈太, which normally would translate as Magnificently Sharp Giant Scalpel, however there is a pun here with the Furigana of the Kanji 丸刈太 which is written as マルガリータ, instead of まるがりふとい so the name actually is Giant Scalpel Margarita (巨大メスの丸刈太, Kyodai mesu no marugarīta?).^[2] In Guilty Gear Codex the name was translated as just Margarita.^[3]
