Chongyun

Chongyun (Chinese: 重云 Chóngyún) is a playable Cryo character in Genshin Impact.

Born with an excess of yang (positive) energy, Chongyun has become a highly effective exorcist in Liyue — so effective to the point where he hasn't seen a spirit himself, as they immediately flee when he approaches. The excessive yang energy also makes him particularly susceptible to heat and strong emotion, which has led to some rather unexpected results.

	Spirit Blade: Chonghua's Layered Frost	Elemental Skill
Chongyun strikes the ground with his greatsword, causing a Cryo explosion in a circular AoE in front of him that deals Cryo DMG. After a short delay, the cold air created by the Cryo explosion will coalesce into a Chonghua Frost Field, within which all Sword, Claymore and Polearm-wielding characters' weapons will be infused with Cryo. When this skill hits at least one enemy, it generates 4 Elemental Particles. The infusion is applied every second to active characters within the field. This skill can override certain elemental infusions. (See Overriding Infusions for details) Passive Effects Passive Talent 1, Steady Breathing: "Sword, Claymore, or Polearm-wielding characters within the field created by Spirit Blade: Chonghua's Layered Frost have their Normal ATK SPD increased by 8%." Passive Talent 2, Rimechaser Blade: "When the field created by Spirit Blade: Chonghua's Layered Frost disappears, another spirit blade will be summoned to strike nearby opponents, dealing 100% of Chonghua's Layered Frost's Skill DMG as AoE Cryo DMG. Opponents hit by this blade will have their Cryo RES decreased by 10% for 8s." 	Spirit Blade: Cloud-Parting Star	Elemental Burst
Performing the secret hand seals, Chongyun summons 3 giant spirit blades in mid-air that fall to the earth one by one after a short delay, exploding as they hit the ground. When the spirit blades explode, they will deal AoE Cryo DMG and launch opponents. Skill DMG refers to the damage per blade. Constellation Effects Constellation Level 3, Cloudburst: Increases this talent's level by 3, up to a maximum of 15. Constellation Level 6, Rally of Four Blades: "Spirit Blade: Cloud-Parting Star deals 15% more DMG to opponents with a lower percentage of their Max HP remaining than Chongyun. Some common cooldowns and how much they're affected by this Constellation are: 6 seconds becomes 5.1 seconds. 10 seconds becomes 8.5 seconds. 12 seconds becomes 10.2 seconds. 15 seconds becomes 12.75 seconds. 20 seconds becomes 17 seconds. Note that Elemental Skills with multiple charges, such as Lemniscatic Wind Cycling, track cooldowns for each charge; they have independent cooldowns. The constellation actually reduces the cooldowns for a character while the infusion effect of Spirit Blade: Chonghua's Layered Frost would be active. This still applies to Bow and Catalyst users.
