The Old World was the term used to denote the world prior to the destruction unleashed by Anthrasax 400 years ago. It was eventually revealed that the Old World was, in fact, modern day Earth.
History[]
400 years ago (in the modern world around 2008 AD.), humans, at the highest of their prosperity, had fallen into a darkness they created themselves. Despite their efforts to correct their mistakes, by creating an ultimate weapon to end all wars, the God of Destruction, known as Anthrasax, had already seen the world's true nature, and brought the world to the brink of destruction.[1]
All attempts to stop Anthrasax proved futile until the Dragon Knight, a flying dragon-like creature, was created by a group of scientists, and came from the ground in a pillar of light to battle Anthrasax. The battle between the two almost destroyed the Earth; destroying cities, sinking continents and killing millions of people. The Dragon Knight emerged victorious against Anthrasax after ten days, burying the god deep down under the ground, and trapping her with four seals.[1]
With the conclusion of the battle, the scientists, now known as the Ten Wise Men of Europa, repopulated the earth with new life based on ancient legends and myths, such as Elves, Dwarves, and Hobbits, and made a contingency plan for Anthrasax's reawakening sometime in the future.
Over time, the truth of these events was forgotten, and became legends.[1]
