Requesting my data and then requesting my right to be forgotten

Anonymous

EA TOS team and All other non existent teams are not statisfying my request. They are not being helpfull. First of all i am requesting all my data and then i want to use my right to be forgotten. Failure to not statisfy these request is against the EU law and will be punished.

Hey @Anonymous,

You can download your data directly through your EA Account page here

If you'd like to proceed with a Right To Be Forgotten request as well, please see the information regarding that process on this page.

That is not something we're able to address on the forums, but an advisor will be able to get that started for you with the above steps.

The article says "To exercise this right (right to be forgotten), please contact us using the button below."

But there is no button below.

Also the article doesn't exactly tell you how to delete the account.

Can you be more specific and explain how to contact you to delete my account?

Hey @Anonymous,

Deleting an account will need to be done by our support team so they can first verify ownership of the account and make sure the account is only being deleted at the request of the actual owner.

This would be why there aren't steps to do so yourself.

I've just checked and am still seeing the Contact Us option at the bottom of the page, are you missing this?

If you're not seeing that option on that page, you can also create a new case here. Selecting Origin as the product and following the steps above will let you create a case with support to get started with this process.

So I followed the link you sent and selected:

Origin > Data Privacy > I want EA to delete my personal data

and I got to this page. What should I do next, sent you an email?

Hi @Anonymous,

If you'd like to continue with that process, please select that email option to get in touch with support, yes.

After 5 or 6 emails sending confirmation codes and answering questions to verify the ownership of my account, I finally talked to one of your advisors (or maybe it was a chatbot) only to be told that you are experiencing technical issues and are unable to delete my account. That was 5 days ago. After that, no one replied to my inquiries.

Why on earth would EA not delete my account and personal details?

I first contacted EA on December 2013, 10 years ago, requesting my account to be deleted. This is simply surreal!

What could possibly be the reason that EA would not delete my account?

Has anybody ever been able to delete an EA account?

Is there any way I can contact a real person that would solve my issue?

I am so tired of receiving automated responses saying the same thing over and over again.
