Verify your phone number
Follow the prompts to verify your phone number so we can text you. This will be required to activate your account because our comprehensive alert system relies heavily on text messaging for updates and reminders.
Troubleshoot common issues with phone number verification
Having trouble verifying your phone number? Below are common issues to check for:
- Make sure you’ve fully filled out your profile information. If you have not entered all of the required information, you may have trouble verifying your account.
- Make sure you live in a supported country. At the moment, we’re only recruiting participants in the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Germany, South Africa, and India.
- Make sure you’re not using a landline phone number, WiFi, or VOIP. Our alert system relies heavily on text messaging for updates and reminders, so a mobile phone number is required. Verification cannot be completed using an email address.
- Wait a few minutes. Sometimes the verification code arrives with a delay.
- Re-request the verification code. If you’ve waited and still haven’t received a code, try re-requesting it. You can also try sending a text with START to 617-202-2503 to ensure you are subscribed, and then request the code again.
- Contact your service provider. If you’ve taken the steps above and still haven’t received your code, contact your service provider to see if they can help.
Apply for paid studies
Apply through our active studies browse page, or check your email for invitations from us to projects we think may be a fit.
A few key things to keep in mind:
- Honesty at all times. Conflicting responses and poor feedback will result in penalties on your account. Too many and your account may be blocked from participating in future studies. Learn more about participant policies and issues that may affect your ability to participate in studies.
- Set your expectations. It's typical to be approved for 1-2 studies per year. To increase your odds, keep your profile updated at all times and only apply to studies you're a fit for.
- We can't get you into that study—so don't ask. All recruitment decisions are up to the researcher and require application to be considered.
- Earn money in between studies with our participant referral program. As long as your account is in good standing, you can keep earning in between studies by referring a friend. Learn more about our participant referral program.
