A bit of local buzz: There’s a new coffee shop in town! Trolley Line Coffee serves freshly roasted coffee and light bites from a revamped trolley charging station in Salunga. And the steady line this weekend shows the people of East Hempfield (and beyond) are jazzed to finally have their own local pitstop. We brewed the brand identity to feel classic yet fresh (like the operation itself). And of course our team couldn’t resist the chance to take a field trip to optimize caffeine levels and celebrate the occasion. Ryan and Ryan? More like Benedict and Arnold. Our founding gents hopped the pond this Fourth to celebrate our independence in the UK. And the irony isn’t lost. In all seriousness, these guys completely deserve a getaway—and we hope they come back ruddy and refreshed, ready to regale us with tales of Scottish (mis)adventure. The rest of us will be holding down the headquarters (closed on Thursday and Friday) and celebrating America with BBQ and bug bites. Happy Fourth of July, everyone.

It's always a thrill to see our clients gain traction in their target markets – even more so after a major brand refresh. Congratulations to the teams at Weaver Companies, Inc., Weaver Luxury Living, and Weaver Commercial! Read about our year-long collaboration here: https://lnkd.in/evnNgBRN #brandrefresh #phillystyle

We're honored to be recognized as a "Best of Style" winner in the Philadelphia Style Magazine! This is a combination of the hard work being done through both divisions, Weaver Commercial & Weaver Luxury Living, and the incredible projects we've been blessed to be a part of in the Philadelphia market. Couldn't be more proud of our team members and excited for what's ahead!

The best way to keep creative work fresh? Make time for play. That's exactly what we did with Fabled Chase—the whiskey concept we launched for all the dream-chasers out there (and around our office). We’d been stowing an eight-year-old barrel of whiskey from the masterful distillers at Thistle Finch. It was "payment" for previous creative work. It was beautifully aged. It was time to share. But how? We imagined a concept (the hunt for an elusive beast). We coined a name and penned an epic poem. We designed packaging, planned a rollout, developed a microsite, and hosted a launch party late last year. Nary a team member was spared. While rebranding is never easy, it’s especially tricky after 120 years of success. But the team at Mennonite Home Communities knew their name was dated in ways the founders couldn’t have predicted a century ago. For one thing, only a small number of residents and staff are Mennonite. For another, "home" made people think of a nursing home. While the organization does offer skilled care facilities, their flagship property is Woodcrest Villa, a vibrant 60+ community. It’s the kind of place where residents are traveling the world, leading businesses, creating art, giving back, and enjoying some of their best years yet. We wanted the new brand to capture that energy—and we’re happy to share that Mennonite Home Communities is now Tandem Living. It’s a name that suggests moving forward together. Think tandem bike or kayak. We also helped rebrand the skilled care campus from The Mennonite Home to Trillium Place. Trillium Place takes its name from the trillium, a beautiful local wildflower that’s a subtle nod to the organization’s Christian heritage. (Its three white petals have long been a symbol of the Trinity.) The case study is coming soon. But for now, we want to applaud the folks at Tandem Living on the launch of their new brands. You’ve been an incredible team to work with, and we’re excited to keep the rollout rolling. Photography & Videography Partners: Donovan Witmer & Christopher Vasaturo #rebrand #trademark #campaign

This week’s U.S. Women's Open Championship has us reminiscing about a bit of work we did back in 2015—the first time the tournament came to town. We helped to refine the logo, define brand guidelines, and develop marketing materials to build excitement for one of the coolest events Lancaster has ever hosted.  If you haven’t yet swung by Lancaster Country Club to catch some of the action, you’ve got two days left. We promise, it’s absolutely worth the traffic. #uswomensopen #sportsbranding #usga

If you're not all shrieking like a bunch of 10-year-olds, are you even team-building? Yesterday we took a mental health break and joined every senior class in America at Hersheypark. Despite some wild lines and wilder kids, it wasn't a bad way to spend a Thursday. We'll be out of the office again on Monday to spend Memorial Day with our families and friends.

Marketing campaigns come and go. Websites get rebuilt after five or six years. But names? Names last. Not even logos, which can endure for decades, have the longevity of a well-chosen name. Which is why our team puts so much thought and effort into getting it right from the start. Here’s how we go about it. 1️⃣ The Brief We start every naming project with a brief. The brief is a one-page summary of the project and our goals for the name. Specifically, what themes or attributes should the name convey? Will we explore descriptive, abstract, coined names, or all three? We usually conduct interviews and extensive desk research to help write a strong brief. 2️⃣ Development Once we’ve aligned on a brief, we spend a few weeks exploring every angle we can think of. This typically results in well over 1,000 ideas. We’ll whittle these down to 10–15 recommendations that best achieve the goals in the brief and represent a variety of compelling styles and meanings. 3️⃣ Decision Time We’ll present our shortlist of recommendations, and work together with the client to choose a few finalists. At this point, we can perform linguistic testing to ensure any final options will translate properly within other cultural contexts. If the client plans to trademark their new name, this is also when we encourage them to engage with an attorney. Then comes the hardest part of all: making the final call. What makes a brand name memorable for you? #branding #naming #brandagency

This weekend, we’re cheersing the four moms in our midst and the team’s collective brood of 16 kiddos (and 13 fur babies). AND the delightful fact that two more littles are due to join the crew this August. Happy Mother’s Day to the mamas who continually inspire us with their creativity, drive, and ability to wrangle small humans as their work-outside-of-work. #MothersDay
