It's cold... there's snow outside... it's winter! I had nearly forgotten with the high temperatures and lack of white on the ground for the past month.

Yeah. I'll be renting it since I'm not too convinced about it, but I do want to play the campaigns for some nostalgia value.

Watched Midnight in Paris today. Having no prior knowledge, it wasn't at all what I was expecting. It was probably the time travel that threw me off.

Mass Effect 3 demo came out today, I downloaded it this morning. I gotta check that out before anything.

Only played half of the demo. But I'm sad I did, because now that half hour won't be new anymore when I get the game. But it was pretty awesome.

And it reinvigorated my hype since I haven't kept up with information on it for quite a while.

I'll go and check out the online co-op in the demo, but I don't think I'll go back to the single player portion.

Played through the Twisted Metal campaign on co-op today. The live action cinematics are cool, and the story is fittingly dark.

Yeah, there's a lot more work put into it than the old one it seems, though there's only three characters in the campaign.

Yeah. Jaffe treated it well. And I think I saw Kratos' blades in Calypso's trophy case during one of the cutscenes, cool nod there.

Went out and bought Rock Band 3 spontaneously (just now). Gonna export the Rock Band 2 songs, and I'm gonna Gamefly Rock Band so I can export its songs later (I already owned it and got an export key, but I didn't have it when my old PS3 died). That'll give me a huge library to play.

Funny you mentioned RB3 because one of my friends and I were thinking about picking it up after we randomly tried to play RB2 online and realized we couldn't.

It's got an okay set list, but for $16 I think 83 songs was worth it.

One thing I like about is that it shows you everything after you finish a song. Streak, accuracy by section, comparison to friends, and leaderboard position. I've made it within the top 10% for guitar on most of the things I've played!

I'd say it is.

I doubt I could be that good, especially with Guitar.

Big snowstorm last night, must be half a foot on the ground. It knocked out power in the middle of a song. I was doing good, too.

I haven't even touched drums on the game yet. They're still in my packed closet, and I dread trying to get them out.

Almost done with RB3's campaign thingy. The last portion is made of setlists of the hardest songs though, so I'll probably have to drop to hard so I don't die on a random solo and have to redo everything.

It appears that I've been accepted into Virginia Tech. And they invited me to apply to the Honors program... I should try for that. Better housing and all.

Trying to 5 star everything on expert on RB3. If I can't do it on guitar, I'll go to bass and hope it's easier. Only 11 songs left!

Onoez! There are two songs that I can't 5-star on guitar or bass. One of them I can't even beat on expert at all, and its difficulty level is 2 out of 6 on guitar.

Yeah, especially when you get near the end and a solo or something breaks you. All that time wasted.

I'm over halfway through Jak 3 now. Gonna finally get that done.

OMG, just 5-starred that one song I couldn't beat at all! I put it on hyperspeed and learned the last third, which is just an onslaught of hammer-ons. Only one left (Caught in a Mosh), which I was able to 4-star on hyperspeed but it's relentless so I'll have to attack it when my hand is at its best and able to keep up with the notes.
