Decided to catch up on my South Park kullekshun. Bought deez fo' $13 from Walmart.com, WITH FREE EIGHT-WEEK DELIVERY TO MY LOCAL STORE. Actually, it'll show up in like two weeks, but still. I'm cheap and didn't wanna pay an extra $5–6 for shipping, so...

Oddly enough, they don't have season ten listed. Once I get through eight and nine, guess I'll just have to shell out $18 or whatever from somewhere else.

THEN, IT'S ALL BLOO-RAYZ FROM DERE. A part of me wants to buy the later seasons on DVD 'cos they're also $13 at Walmart's site, but knowing they're natively HD and widescreen, I'd feel like it were a waste of money. By principle. Even though the BDs are like super expensive.

Leone's flicks have sadly been treated like $#!7 on Blu-ray here in the States, but OUATITW is his best, so hopefully there'll at least be one good Blu-ray.

I picked up the Italian Blu-ray of A Fistful of Dollars, and that looks phenomenal.

yea, i had picked up the Dollars trilogy on DVD about a year before they released it on blu ray, and the picture and sound are pretty horrid on those.

... are the US versions of the blu ray butchered too or what?

Yeah. They're from the same masters, which are all pretty shatty—especially The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Hopefully somebody will make new masters o' deez sometime soon and release proper Blu-rays. More than likely they'd be foreign releases, but it wouldn't be the first time where a US studio has pumped out a crummy BD and later released a fantastic-looking one (Gangs of New York, Gladiator).

I think I heard the Italian BD for TGTBATU is pretty good, but I don't think it has an English audio track.

New Felix da Housecat, AND IT'S AWESOME. Only available with the British magazine Mixmag. Found out Barnes & Noble carries it. Woo-hoo! Didn't mind the $10 price tag 'cos I'm essentially buying a new album with that...a new album with a flimsy cardboard case with tape all over it ripping the artwork off if I were to peel it off the case and with additional tape applied at home to keep the already-ripped parts from falling off.

Have you ever heard of Bad Boy Bill? If not you should definitely check out Bangin' The Box 5, it might be a little hard to find but it some of the best house you'll ever hear.... has a bad ass mix on it with Felix The HouseCat called Silver Screen.

Felix da Housecat is da man, man. Dunno if you've ever listened to his stuff, but he's pretty eclectic. Various styles of eelektronique. His latest album is kind of a "back to the basics," the house stuff he originally did, plus a lot of other genres thrown in. The [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfs_v6CcMAM]first[/link] [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfWL84kYPRY]three[/link] [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQxajvsZcaM]tracks[/link] set the tone nicely.

Just preordered a live PIG DVD of the All Hamerican Tour from a few years back that I was going to attend but it sadly got canceled about halfway through, just before it stopped in Minneapolis. Handcrafted and signed/numbered packaging an' shiz, each copy with different, unique artwork. Love that kind of thing.

S'kinda an official bootleg though; wasn't the most professional of video recordings, and the tour came to a halt before they got to the planned show where they'd record audio from the soundboard, so the audio's all taken from the camera's mic. Should be pretty cool regardless.

I probably shouldn't be buying that Æon Flux set, in case a Blu-ray release sees light (there was supposed to be one released exclusively through Amazon a couple years ago, but that...never happened), but it's pretty cheap so it's not a rape to my wallet or anything. That and you never know if the HD release may goof things up with additional "remastering"—the DVD set looks amazing, so hopefully they'd have the sense just to use those same masters (if indeed they were done at or above 1080 vertical resolution).

Other M is currently $15 at Amazon, otherwise I may not have bothered. I hear it's pretty kick-ass though, BUT I THINK SOME OF YOU GAYS HAVE SAID OTHERWISE.

Æon Flux cartoon soundtrack. Except I bought the three-volume complete/enhanced/redone version from the artist's website, droomusic.com, entitled Eye Spy: Declassified, Freedom of Information Act, which as of now is sadly MP3-only. But, it's still cool the artist came back to the album, spruced it up, added extended versions of some tracks that couldn't fit on the CD version, added a third "disc," and yeah. AWESOME.
