Things To Do First
Being dumped into the open world of Watch Dogs 2 can be overwhelming at first. Thankfully, we've put together a list of some things you should do first, to maximize your starting time with the game.
Hack Everyone
As you're walking around the city, constantly be on the lookout for civilians to hack. There is rarely a repercussion for doing so and you will be able to earn money off of certain people. Although it's not a lot at first, the money will add up over time.
Save Up For Weapons
This is less of a thing to do, and more of a tip on something not to do. Don't waste money buying clothes or cars early on. Most of the weapons in the game aren't locked behind certain requirements, they just need to be purchased. This means that just a few hours in, you can purchase a silenced pistol, or long range rifle, giving you a huge advantage on missions early on.
Purchase 2 Specific Skills
Once you begin leveling up, there are two specific Skills you should purchase before all others. The first is the Botnet Upgrade. This gives your phone a huge boost to how many things you can do, and is generally very handy.
The second is Environmental Remote Control. This allows you to control scissor lifts, fork lifts and other vehicles. Many upgrades are hidden in Watch Dogs 2, and require you to use these vehicles to access them. Also, you can make a lot of missions far easier by having access to this skill, so purchase it ASAP!
Explore A Little
Once you get a feel for things, take a little time to explore. The world is filled with items to pick up, which will be marked on your map when you get close to them, or spot them while in Hacker vision.
These items include Skill points, clothes and even bags of money. The money in particular is very useful, as a lot of items in the game aren't locked behind specific requirements and instead just require you to purchase them.
Consider Saving Up for the Quadcopter
Although weapons are important, like the silenced pistol, so is the Quadcopter. Although it's not mandatory, it is so universally useful, that having it early on is incredibly handy.
The problem? It's quite expensive. This means taking some time to search around for sacks of money to obtain the money necessary to purchase it.
