One of the ultimate marque blockbusters that made waves in the SNES era. The stunningly detailed graphics full of mood and ambience were immediately striking. There's a strong amount of variety and smart ideas in the journey that gets a little underrated mainly because it came out of Mario's shadow and the genre was oversaturated. This first one is the classic in the SNES trilogy for me because it wasn't truly bettered and featured the most fresh content.

A greatly insightful experience of psychosis through a Celtic warrior during the Viking era. Don't expect a deep rewarding combat system, it's thrilling enough, but not the draw card. Instead at the heart are beautifully crafted introspective scenes of Senua grappling with past love, loss and trauma that influences how her disorder shapes reality.
Unravelling what's real or imagined is immensely fulfilling with multiple interpretations often being plausible or at least of worthwhile significance. Huge admiration to the diligence and respect given to the subject matter. All the more impressive, considering the elite production values in animations, acting and sound design.

Takes you very far away from the familiar. Bug inspired alien designs may not be the most unique concept, but the world design and evolving lore is crafted like nothing else. The story unfolds in a cryptic way, though I felt was lighter than the full richness it deserves, even after learning more from others after completing the game.
The use of globes that double up as both a world to travel to and an ability to use is implemented with great nuance that keeps the puzzles fresh and ultimately develop into a proper test even if the core mechanics driving them are nothing new.
An admirable fusion of lots to uncover which keeps the player involved from beginning to end.

A must play for superhero fans, you don't full fill the fantasy better in any other medium and damn does it deliever a fine story, chockers full of heart warming magic and astonishing intensity. In fact, this may well be the best rendition I've experienced from many of the characters, especially the likes of Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Harry Osborn, who are so endearing.
The biggest core upgrade to the action is the spectacular venom abilities, though it does best to keep fresh with frequently surprising, exhilarating and well designed set pieces. Unfortunately, the open world design hasn't evolved much on the Arkham City formula and gets tired clearing generic fortress/crime/VR or picking up tagged items. There's some developed side quests but it could do with cutting the fat and focusing on always tailoring something special, whether that be a surprise, more significant lore, or proper discovery/experimentation that doesn't feel given.

Love the fusion of immaculate cell-shaded cartoon style graphics with an intense pulsating soundtrack that energizes the action. The animations, endearing characters, style and sense of humour are at the pinnacle of what I've experienced from a cartoon influenced game. I found the dodging and parrying a little unsatisfying compared to what could have been, but for the most part the combat is a well realized take on a fairly novel concept. Part of my awe is how unbelievably well, such a cutting edge art design, runs. I was able to clock a stable 120 fps at 1440 easily on my older RTX 2080 and my new system is absolute overkill. One of those games that plays as great as you'd expect.

Wholly expected an exuberant bombast, but there's been some deft work in keeping the experience grounded while allowing for the flair of it's artists and performers to shine. As a whimsical, playful musical that paces itself to the player's beat it completely succeeds. Though the interactive choices don't have much added impact or meaning, it's enjoyable flicking the experience in some kick arse directions.

Delivers on multiple seasons worth of GoT style world changing events, tied together with frequently dazzling action combat.
This is an easy to recommend blockbuster close to the Sony mould but maintains a rich FF eclectic world and story design. There's a thorough completeness which is exemplified by the well written active time and home base lore that greatly enriches the experience. The best voice cast in series history further pushes the extravagance along with another magic soundtrack.
The biggest disappointments are that the combat system doesn't grow well, especially by RPG standards, and there are too many side quests, most being very ordinary.
The series could benefit from more modern exploration discovery moments, but the places you do go to are absolutely stunning that you would want to see.
Overall another strong entry in the series though isn't quite at the creative apex others have reached, but certainly up there.

An absolute magic experience. Takes in the culture of post human cities, exploring every nook and cranny in surreal form. Characterization of the cat is so adorable, but equally so the quirky robots that play into its curiosities while reflecting their own strange processing. It leaves a lot of room for contemplation driven by A+ developed lore. It is capped by a very neat, awe inspiring ending, truly fitting for one of mankind's great companions

Tells a very compelling, emotionally moving world, full of human weaknesses. There's cancer, dysfunctional family issues, corruption of the rich and powerful, gimmicks to make money and habitat struggles with nature.
Though it fixes the pacing issues of early 90s adventure games, some of the story beats are a bit loose like that era. Along with an ending that doesn't wrap things well, could have been more complete but still a great experience.
