What Ninja Theory have pulled off here artistically and experientially pretty special. The choice to shape and design the game experience around a mental condition like Psychosis truly makes it an innovative video game with plenty of triple A trimmings to boot. Only minor drawbacks include what feels like a limited scope of enemy variety and combat. Melina Juergens' in the title role is right up there with the best mocap video game performances of the modern era. As well as the supporting cast being very strong. One of the few games i would say is essential for headphones.
A truly genius idea to blend Metroidvania design with the Prince of Persia IP, rejuvenating it in the process!
This game is designed so well by the folks over at Ubisoft Montpellier. Complete with a solid story, soundtrack, sharp gameplay and audio design along with challenging but satisfying puzzle platforming segments throughout that are sure to challenge even the most skills platforming veterans. The combat has a surprising amount of depth with the amulet loadouts you can equip.
I ended up completing it 100% and for me personally that's a mark of a truly great game. This is my favourite game of 2024 so far.
Venba was a delightful little experience and represents a perfect addition to game pass as a fantastic example of the kinds of variety the service has to offer.
A great soundtrack along with writing and engaging cooking sound effects. This little story involving this family really was heartwarming and makes you think about the passing of time and how food can be at the centre of so many of these experiences over the years.
It has made me want to try a few of these Indian dishes and perhaps even make one or two - the game’s main menu even contains a real recipe book with several Indian dishes!
Great little game and I played the Xbox One port from 2014 so it looks and runs as intended from the devs. Really unique game mechanics and story. Refreshing to go back and play an indie like this a decade after it was released. Compulsion put a nice amount of effort into this and loved the 1920s art style and backdrop.
Spider-Man remastered on PS5 was amazing from the get-go. A fantastic cinematic story complete with impressive traversal and action throughout an open-world New York City. This game does for Spider-Man what the groundbreaking Arkham games did for Batman.
