Infamous game notes 6/24
- This game has aged terribly. Visually, gameplay and writing all included.
- Whenever I do parkour it's uncomfortably difficult at first. Everytime I jump from one platform to the next it has strong "Jesus take the wheel" vibes. But yeah you basically just mash X and your guy does the rest.
- The world building makes absolutely no sense. there's just people being randomly shot in the street by mounted 50 Cals and RPGs and their isn't any police to be seen, no military, and no consequences. There are guys with ak47s patrolling around 1 hostage while the rest of the civilian population is just moseying about their day without a care in the world.
- how many missions am I going to go back into the sewers to reset generators? All of them, it would seem. And they just keep getting worse. Manual save is your friend because the checkpoints during these segments is occasionally pretty awful.
-I'm currently talking to my buddy Zeke on the radio while I'm actively standing next to Zeke in the game. Gotta love it.
- Speaking of Zeke, he's the only character with any level of substance. The main character, the side characters and the bad guys are all just bland vanilla scented trash bags.
- I like the sort of comic book style of cut scenes. But I wish I was experiencing these moments instead of still frames and dialogue.
- playing on ps5 streaming I have not figured out a way to open my map, and I'm halfway through the game. I've done it once on accident somehow during a mission, so I know it exists.
- There's so many random injured people littered throughout the city. All of them writhing in pain rolling on the ground. No one helps them. Or comments. Coles real super power is being able to see these poor invisible people that all need to be cured by electrical shocks.
- I did like the ending. That was neat. However the game itself largely felt like a chore, and ironically, draining to play.

This is an awesome game that started a franchise and what drew me to it was the comic book artstyle used for all its cut scenes (I had the special edition which was great for the artwork)
Interesting part of this game was that you gain these super powers but could choose how you wanted to play the game, either in a 'good' or 'evil' style. Def made things interesting.
Its a shame that the first two games are locked on the PS3 due to its hardware.
