Anno: Mutationem Review
great
Punchy, side-scrolling combat and a richly realized, anime-inspired world make Anno: Mutationem a blast, but the script is a bit rusty.

The story was pretty good, as well as the gameplay, but at the end of the game it was annoying that there were the same enemies (including bosses) with the same moves, just different skins.

The feel and look of AnnoM pulled me in but the more and more I played the more the game seem to fall apart. It has a moment here and there but at the end of the day I'll remember this game looking like it had so much potential but failed to charm me during my playthough. The story is all over the place, the combat isn't as smooth as you'd think for a 2D Scroller and the mid to late difficulty spikes are horrendous! As interesting as it may look, I think this is one you can look over unfortunately.
