The only shield that has varying stats over the course of a battle is the Fast Shield, so perhaps the game is confusing the two? It is also entirely possible that another mod's causing this problem. You should look into that if you do have more than one mod installed.
@Emtu It will be gone by next update. It was initially supposed to be a relic months ago that would make you invulnerable, but would cost you money, either you wouldn't gain any at the end of fights if you had taken damage or it would subtract money for each HP you would have lost.
After 4 different iterations over the same concept, this item still won't work - I will probably have to ask on the forum how to fix it.
"When out of uses.
Error: Description for modifier could not be generated. Please add a description manually".
And when I use it, it does dmg to me, and as turns pass, it does even more. The weak on all enemies, added block (this one for the first turn only) and energy removal does work correctly. The damage it does varies. From 0.123 (wrote random number, forgot the decimals) to 3.6, 5.1, 8.1, 8.6, etc. No idea exactly what increases it.
Unless the "When out of uses" that throws an error has anything to do with the dmg taken, that ones is bugged.
I wanted this item to have a 2-states effect like the tragicomedy shield, but it's not possible as of now, so I had to improvise. That is why the description is all jumbled-up, but nothing to worry about.
You use it once to get it anchored and that effect doesn't ever run out, but if you get tired of it you can click it again and it will be un-anchored and return back to normal.
To refresh the mod you must enable debugging in the mod menu, then Ctrl-D in-game, select Backpack Hero Plus from the drop down (if you have multiple mods installed) and finally click on "Reload + Respawn", be warned that this will remove all forge upgrades from every modded item.
Alternatively, Ctrl-S get another Riot Sword and discard the one you're currently holding.
Check back soon, I'll post an update when it's done.
When initially testing this item it would correctly target the enemy which's strange.
The closest item with an effect like this are the plates which don't substract Block, in fact, they add more of it. To see what items my mod has you can enable debugging and then Ctrl + S during a run to see a list of items in the game. From that menu, select which mod you want to see items from, it defaults to "All".
