The rage rancor was a rare subspecies[2] of the reptilian,[3] semi-sentient[1] rancor species aptly named for having an even nastier temperament than the more common of its kind. It towered over its cousins, with extreme strength and toughness to match. A rage rancor's adrenaline-driven destructiveness could easily threaten an entire base.[2]

The original design
The rage rancor appeared in the Star Wars: Commander mobile game as a unit that could be deployed into battle. Originally, it was depicted as a standard rancor with a red colorization. However, the design was later changed to a more distinct appearance.[2]
