Synopsis[]
The episode begins with Patrick playing with a SpongeBob figure, using it to smash fruit. Fruit juice splatters on Squidina's camera lens, so she misses most of the recording. Since they are out of fruit, they plan to go to the supermarket and buy some. GrandPat comes in and says that fruit was free in the 1940s, giving Patrick the idea to travel back in time and get some.

Patrick at the testing site.
Patrick travels to 1940s Bikini Bottom, in the middle of a "knuclear testing area." While he doesn't find any fruit, he does steal the head of a test dummy. He narrowly escapes the blast in time, but when he returns, a fist of radiation knocks on the time closet's door and punches him in the face. Patrick's parents come in and tell him and Squidina to go to bed, so he does, glowing from the radiation.
The next morning, a larger Patrick comes in for breakfast. He eats his family's pancakes, then the plates, then a repairman's toolbox. Squidina then puts Patrick on for the show, where he burps and increases in size. He grows to the point he falls out of the house, then drinks some coffee from the top of it, which GrandPat and Granny Tentacles had been bathing in.

Patrick bites the banana float.
Patrick goes downtown, and wants to continue his fruit segment. He picks up the real SpongeBob and smashes various large images of fruit, such as a billboard for apples and an orange-shaped drink stand. He sees a giant banana, which is actually a parade float, and tries to destroy it. He bites into the balloon, and the shock of the loud noise makes him run around wildly. He still thinks the people are toys, so he grabs them. The military is called in to deal with Patrick, and they shoot him with knuclear missiles that make Patrick grow further.
Squidina realizes that Patrick was hit with radiation on the outside to make him big, so radiation on the inside would make him small. The army commander puts Squidina in charge, and she has the army men paint a missile like a sausage and put it in a hot dog. Patrick only eats it after mustard is added, and this causes it to explode inside of him, burping out GrandPat and Granny Tentacles. Patrick shrinks back to normal size, then even smaller. SpongeBob uses the shrunken Patrick to smash fruit.
