The first season of Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years premiered on Paramount+ on March 4, 2021 with "The Jellyfish Kid" and ended on May 26, 2023 with "Hats Off to Space" and "In a Nut's Shell." This season premiered on Nickelodeon on April 2, 2021 with "Sugar Squeeze" and "Tag, You're It" and more episodes are to be aired. The series is a spin-off and prequel of SpongeBob SquarePants, featuring younger versions of the main characters from the original show. SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and Sandy are campers; Mrs. Puff and Mr. Krabs are camp counselors; Pearl is a baby; Plankton and Karen are camp chefs; and Gary is a formerly-stray snail who becomes SpongeBob's pet.
The season was originally announced with 13 half-hour episodes.[1] On August 11, 2021, the number was extended to 26.[2] The first 13 half-hours of the season were released on DVD on March 8, 2022, and the second 13 half-hours were released on DVD on December 5, 2023.
