A reef blower is a machine designed to clean yards of the ocean denizens of Bikini Bottom. It first appears in the SpongeBob SquarePants pitch bible.

A reef blower in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water
Generally, reef blowers are used to clean yards, similar to real-life leaf blowers and shop vacuum cleaners. It uses a long black hose with a red suction head that has a switch on it to change between its blow and suction functions. It is connected to a dust bag which is lavender, has a filter, a cartridge filter, and attachments.
The size of the dust bag varies and generally has incredible storing space and elasticity, able to vacuum up things much larger than the bag itself, ranging from the windows and nose of Squidward's house to the entire ocean.
The suction and blowing force from the machine ranges from mild breezes to being able to fire large projectiles that can easily destroy a stone house.
Versions[]
So far, there are three versions of the reef blower.
Version one[]
Version one of the reef blower is very large and appears to be difficult to use. It breaks down often but has incredible suction power, able to completely drain an ocean before exploding. The device also has an extremely long pull cord which allows SpongeBob to draw it across long distances. This version was seen in "Reef Blower," The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, and "Plankton Paranoia." The reef blower from its debut episode also shows signs of sentience, as it started to cough once SpongeBob took out the stuff it sucked in briefly. In the SpongeBob: Reimagined version of the episode, the reef blower was given even more facial expressions and showed even more signs of sentience.
Version two[]
Smaller version of the reef blower
Version two of the reef blower is smaller and more compact, about the size of a small backpack. The holding compartment is able to hold the nose of Squidward's house. This version was seen in "Squidville" and "Krusty Kleaners."
Version three[]
Version three of the reef blower is much smaller and handheld, and resembles a real-life leaf blower. This version is seen in "Stormy Weather."

"Reef Blower"[]
After Squidward kicks a shell off his lawn onto SpongeBob's property, SpongeBob takes notice of this and gets his reef blower from his garage to remove the shell from his lawn. However, none of his attempts work, only bringing the shell back and blowing sand into the air. As a result, SpongeBob decides to place the sand back into the dust bag and mess around with the machine by blowing it in Squidward's face and lunch and testing the elasticity of its pull cord, which sucks up all the water in the ocean, then restoring it after the machine explodes.
"Squidville"[]
Despite being designed to be used for yard work, SpongeBob and Patrick use it for more juvenile uses like reef blower tag. Squidward later uses it for pranking purposes at the Tentacle Acres park. Most of the octopus folk look down upon using reef blowers in a childish manner, though Squidward becomes an exception despite his earlier disapproval.
It is able to vacuum the pineapple lines off SpongeBob's house with no visible damage to it, as well as the door off Squidward's house, comically leaving no hole for him to exit his house from where the door is. Other strange feats of the reef blower include the inflation of an unsuspecting octopus' head, removing the eyes and noses off of two octopuses' faces, then putting two sets of eyes on one octopus and two noses on the other without any other visible harm to them, and propelling Squidward several hundred feet into the sky.

SpongeBob uses a reef blower to vacuum up the Krabby Patty secret formula, so as to enforce its safety.

While they are battling, SpongeBob and Gale Doppler use reef blowers. The former uses it to save Drizzle while the latter uses it to suck Drizzle in his so there can be bright skies and so he could be correct about the weather.

SpongeBob's reef blower is seen hanging on the wall of his garage when he sets out to find Snail Fail.
