Object

Fire is an object that first appears in the episode "Tea at the Treedome." In "Procrastination," "SpongeBob SquarePants Sings Keep It Cool," and "The Prehistoric Patrick Star Show," it appears as a living character.

Description[]

Most flames in the franchise are orange and yellow and emit gray smoke.

It is worth noting that since the majority of the show takes place underwater, fire cannot exist as it would be put out immediately, which has been lampshaded for a few jokes.

Major roles[]

"Nature Pants"[]

SpongeBob falls asleep on the job, and in this case, causes a kitchen fire. The fire then expands as SpongeBob fails to extinguish it, and is eventually put out by a fire fish, who sprays SpongeBob with water, causing him to topple onto the grill where the fire started.

"Grandma's Kisses"[]

The fireplace in the background of Grandma's house.

"Life of Crime"[]

Spongebob and Patrick start a campfire. Later on, Patrick notices that the fire is burning despite being underwater, which causes it to immediately extinguish.

"Procrastination"[]

SpongeBob lights a candle to see in the dark. After he is locked outside his house, the flame on the candle becomes sentient and burns his essay. Finally, SpongeBob's pineapple is set on fire, as it becomes sentient too and questions SpongeBob about the situation.

"Party Pooper Pants"[]

SpongeBob and Patrick received their invitations to Patchy's party, but due to the fact they're underwater, the ink runs, leaving the location unreadable. SpongeBob then comments on "the physical limitations of life underwater" before the two of them decide to (ironically) throw the invitations into a small campfire near them.

"Ugh"[]

SpongeGar, Patar, and Squog discover it after a lightning bolt strike on a log, and proceed to use it to roast everything within the area. The three then start to fight over it to determine who gets to keep the fire, before rain puts it out.

"The Camping Episode"[]

SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward use the campfire to roast marshmallows.

"Once Bitten"[]

Bikini Bottom is burnt down during the chaos.

"Sing a Song of Patrick"[]

The angry mob finds the source of the horrible music, and arm themselves with torches.

"Sun Bleached"[]

It appears in the background at the Bikini Bottom Summer Shindig.

"SpongeBob SquarePants vs. The Big One"[]

Jack Kahuna Laguna, SpongeBob, Squidward, and Patrick sit around a fire, and Sandy makes a fire on The Remote Island.

"Dear Vikings"[]

The Vikings burn down the Krusty Krab.

"Sand Castles in the Sand"[]

"The Curse of the Hex"[]
