If you wanted more Venom in Marvel Spider-Man 2, you’re probably not the only one. Apparently, we could have gotten more, as Insomniac Games recorded a lot more voiceover lines for the character that weren’t used.
This was revealed by Venom’s voice actor himself, Tony Todd (Canydman, Final Destination). During the Fan Expo panel in San Francisco for Marvel Spider-Man 2, Todd revealed that only 10 percent of his voice lines were used in the final version of the game.
Could the unused voiceover lines be used in future content for the game? Maybe, but there’s no guarantee about that. Now we’re kind of curious just what these voice lines were.
Still, even with Venom’s limited appearance in the game, that hasn’t affected sales much, as the sequel managed to hit the five million unit sales mark already. Another character you’ll probably be seeing more of will be Miles Morales, which Insomniac Games has confirmed is the “main” Spider-Man in their created universe.
If you’ve yet to play the game, go read our review here, where we state, “Ultimately, Spider-Man 2 checks off the major boxes as an exciting sequel with a compelling story that will hook you in from the get-go.”
