Willkommen to A Moment of Cerebus

Hi, Everybody!

Over on the Twitter, Gerry Conway, he of the "Co-creator of The Punisher, Firestorm, Power Girl, Vixen, and Ms. Marvel" Fame, shared this:
and in the replies, was:
No, really, I'm not a bot!
@realRobertArmel

For anyone wanting to take a deep dive into Dave: http://momentofcerebus.blogspot.com
Well, I'm flattered that somebody would think this place is a valuable addition to the screaming cacophony that is the Interwebs.

Just in case we get a Flood of new visitors, I thought I'd take a moment (heh.) and introduce the place.

A Moment of Cerebus started with our Editor Emeritus Tim W. who started this shindig on November, 17th 2011 and ran the joint more or less solo until November, 14th 2017, when I got the reins and started generally flailing around like a drunken toddler.

I'm "Manly" Matt Dow, Interim Editor.

I post four and a half days a week.

Wednesdays is an ongoing column by one of Dave Sim's Cerebus in Hell? collaborators Ben Hobbs with Cerebus and Hobbs

Thursdays is Cerebus Fan Girl Margaret Liss series of pages from Dave Sim's Cerebus production notebooks.

Fridays I post Dave's Weekly Updates. Which started as Dave letting everybody know how the remastering of the High Society phonebook was going, and then just snowballed from there. Which is how Living the Line publisher (The guy who did The Strange Death of Alex Raymond): Sean Michael Robinson got involved with remastering Cerebus. Before he gave his slot to Hobbs, Sean did a series about remastering Cerebus called Paper to Pixel to Paper Again.

Hey! Speaking of the Strange Death of Alex Raymond, and Sean, and Living the Line, Sean posted in the Cerebus Facebook Group (which has gone private and I can't share a link because you have to be a member to see it...):
I've gotten quite a few emails from people who missed the Strange Death Kickstarter wondering if we had
a. digital copies of the book
b. signed copies of the book
c. campaign bonus books
still for sale. And now we do! A limited stock of them, anyway. Also for sale-- digital editions of You Don't Know Jack, the 2020 collaboration between Dave Sim and Carson Grubaugh.
It's not too late for Christmas delivery if you're quick on the trigger.
So, in case you missed anything...

Anyway, Sundays is Oliver Simonsen, the guy behind the Cerebus Movie ( on streaming services "Plex" and "Vimeo On Demand" and now also on Comcast's streaming channel Xumo.), with a column called "Cerebus Around The World and Web" where he scours the Internet for mentions of Cerebus/Dave Sim/Gerhard/what-have-you and sends me a ton of links and I hammer them into a column. (Which is where Sean saw the tweet from Gerry. Oliver shared it to the Facebook group, and then Sean tweeted it. Then I stole it. It's a ouroboros of Aardvark-y goodness...)

And on Mondays, as part of the days post I include Dave's "Monday Report" where Dave runs his commentaries on John's Gospel.

The rest of the time I just post whatever weird, random Cerebus related thing I think of.

Like this:

Also, I post a rigamarole sometimes:
