I'm new here. I'm a Slytherin. My favorite character is Newt Scammander. My Partronus is a snake somehow, and my favorite book is Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows

This doesn't happen in the books, but in the films he mentions how Lily gave him a fish named Francis as a gift. A flower petal she transfigured into a fish. And then when the fish disappeared, Slughorn knew what had happened to his favourite student.

This is one of the few movie additions i actually like. Slughorn looked so sad and emotional remembering this.

And then the way Harry convinced Slughorn to give up the memory, was by saying "otherwise the bowl stays empty". A bit different than in the book, where he got the memory due to Slughorn being somewhat drunk.

Anyone else liked this movie addition?

Recently I’ve been thinking if I should make an RP for you guys but I don’t really know what about. I would appreciate it if I could have some suggestions in the comments 💜🙏

For those who are unaware, Moly is a plant that appears in Greek Mythology - more specifically as part of Homer's The Odyssey - where it is given to Odysseus (a muggle) by the Greek God Hermes in order to protect him when he goes to rescue his men from Circe; the Demi-Goddess daughter of the Sun God Helios and a powerful witch.

Thanks to the plant's anti-magic properties, Circe's attempts to magically turn Odysseus into a pig - as she had done with his other men - fails, allowing for Odysseus to threaten her and force her to turn his men back to normal, which she does in exchange for Odysseus not killing her; her later aiding him with trying to get himself and his men back home to Ithaca following the Trojan War.

In the Wizarding World, the story of Circe and Odysseus is known to wizards, while Moly is also grown at Hogwarts with the students taught how to handle it.

With this version of the plant still having some of its anti-magic properties, it's made me wonder - would this plant offer any protection against the unforgivable curses, or is that beyond the capabilities that it offers?

Backstory - Viv has had a normal life and child hood. She grew up with a loving family, though her brother can be quite annoying at times. She enjoys hanging out in the Thestral paddock because, since she’s seen her grandfather’s death, she can see these creatures. She enjoys their company because they are magnificent and beautiful.

They carry an arts notebook around with them in case they becomes really sad again.

Hogwarts was amber’s escape from him. She wants to make him proud but secretly wants friends and company, though she takes out all her anger on other students because that is what she gre up knowing. She just wants attention and love.
