The Sanctus Populi is major religious institution in the Guilty Gear series. Largely responsible for helping humanity transition from technology to magic after the Dawn of Revival in 1999, this institution is in a position of tremendous power and significance.
Story[]
Following the ban on electronic devices after an unknown form of life attempted to manifest through them, human society and culture started to decline. In the same year, The Savior and his Apostles (使徒, Shito?) appeared and taught humanity Magic in order to halt the collapse. They also designed and implemented systems and infrastructure to support magic-based society. In 2008, they founded what came to be known as the Sanctus Populi.
