The Radio[]

Adam and his son Tommy are seen scavenging for metal in the desert close to their house. When they return home, Tommy unloads their bounty in a pot where it is prepared to be melted down and walks to their home. Adam beckons to Sandra that they're home.

Inside their home, they're alerted by the presence of the Ghoul eating a meal at their table. Again, Adam unnervingly calls out to Sandra as she serves him a glass of water. While his nerves were still shocked, Adam was relieved that his daughter was alive. After, the Ghoul comments that Adam thought that his daughter was killed and eaten by him, which makes him laugh. Adam then requests that Sandra wait outside as the Ghoul comments on Adam's line of work as a lead farmer and claims that he may have some in him. However, the Ghoul says he's there today for information.

Adam assures the Ghoul that he'll tell him anything if he leaves them in peace. The Ghoul mentions that he heard that Adam had three kids. Taking a brief pause, Adam states that he once had an older son, but since aligning himself with the Madwoman, they haven't heard from him. Hearing that amuses the Ghoul, who comments that there's always a new faction with the ideology of wanting to "save the world." He then asks Adam if his name was Roofus, but Adam claims that he didn't say his name.

The Ghoul then holds up an envelope and directs his attention to Tommy. Holding back his anger, Adam asks Tommy what he did and what was in that envelope. While unfolding the blood-splattered letter with a giant hole in the middle, the Ghoul claims that Roofus got Tommy involved with the Madwoman. From the letter, the Ghoul reveals that Roofus entrusted Tommy to pay a courier for the safe transportation of an Enclave defector to Madwoman Moldaver.

As the Ghoul continues his explanation of Roofus' demise, Adam and Tommy ask him about Moldaver's location so he can visit her and leave them be. Tommy apologizes to him, but Adam wants Tommy to tell him what he wants to know. Tommy explains his motives for doing what he did. However, Adam enforces that Tommy should tell the Ghoul what he wants to know, or else he'll kill them and his sister.

Caving into the pressure, Tommy reveals that Moldaver was at the observatory, and with that done, Adam asks that the Ghoul leave them be. However, the Ghoul asks Tommy if he really would, seeing how he killed his older brother Roofus; although Adam denies it, Tommy tries to reach for the flintlock musket. The Ghoul then uses his revolver to shoot him dead, and as he walks out, Adam mourns the loss of his son.
