Sudden Death was a metahuman with incredible strength and stamina, and an ability to generate explosions of massive force.

History

He first came into conflict with the superhero Hawk when he started flirting with Hawk's girlfriend. What began as a spat turned into a superhuman fight in which Hawk subdued Sudden Death and handing him over to the authorities.

Sudden Death jumped bail and was involved with small-time drug dealers in Washington, D.C. when he encountered Hawk's partner Dove. After being knocked unconscious by the intervening Hawk, Sudden Death was rescued by the criminal mastermind Velvet Tiger, who recruited him as her bodyguard.^[1]
