Sugama (Sugama) is a Shinigami from the Third Division during Shūsuke Amagai's time as its captain.
Appearance[]
Sugama's appearance is seemingly typical of lower-ranking Shinigami; he wears the traditional shihakushō adorned with a white sash around his waist. Sugama's Zanpakutō is secured inside his sash. His hair is tied back into a ponytail. Two separate strands of hair hang over Sugama's forehead.[1]

The New Captain Shūsuke Amagai arc (anime only)[]

Sugama is sent by Izuru Kira and Shūsuke Amagai to search for Makoto Kibune who is allied and involved with the Kasumiōji Clan. Kibune chastises Sugama for walking around drunk whilst Seireitei is in a crisis. However, when Sugama reveals that he saw Kibune exit the Kasumiōji Clan premises, Kibune prepares to wield his Zanpakutō. Sugama promises not to tell anyone about his secret meetings with the Clan, but Kibune kills him to silence him.[1] Sugama's body is found the next day by Izuru and Amagai, after news of Kibune's disappearance is noted.
