Dom: “The Carry1st Africa Cup is crucial for African gaming as it showcases local talent, promotes esports development, and fosters community. It boosts economic growth, provides global recognition, and inspires future gamers, driving the continent’s gaming industry forward.”

Senez: “South Africa alone has a total of 40 teams registered for its qualifiers, which already shows that Africa is ready and willing to be given the opportunity to compete at the world stage level.

"We have strong faith that Activision will take a close look at this tournament, as we would do everything in our power to amplify the Carry1st Africa Cup to the international CODM gaming audience.”

How do you see the Carry1st Africa Cup tournament playing out across all six countries, starting in South Africa?

Dom: “The Carry1st Africa Cup will kick off in South Africa, setting the stage for intense qualifiers. We currently have 40 teams battling it in South Africa, which is amazing!

“Each participating country—Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt, Morocco, and Kenya—will host its qualifiers, showcasing regional talent.

“The top teams from each country will advance to the grand finals, fostering a sense of continental unity and competitive spirit, ultimately elevating African esports on the global stage.”

Senez: “The Carry1st Africa Cup would be massive across all the regions involved, as this is a milestone for African gamers to get the global recognition they deserve.

"Every country's representative wants to come to defend their honour and bragging rights, so expect that only the best of the best would emerge from each region.”
