Excellent exchange rate & easy to use App

Excellent exchange rate, easy to use App & transfer completed into bank account same or next day.
Brilliant service would recommend it all the time.
Low cost for transfer compared to others.

Reliable, fast and good value.

I receive regular payments in US Dollars, into a UK-based US Dollar account.
I use XE.com to change my $ into £ sterling. The process is very simple: I log into XE.com and request a transfer of X,000 US$ to my Sterling bank account. I receive a transaction number and confirmation of the instructions to make the transfer. I then send the US $X,000, from my UK $ account to the account on the instructions from XE.com. with the specific reference number for the transaction. A few minutes later XE.com confirm receipt of the US$, and then a few minutes after that the £sterling amount is received in my UK Sterling account. The service has proved to be reliable and trustworthy. The overall rates I receive are the best that I can find, and the overall cost/rate is superior than making the transfer account-to-account within my bank.

As a long-standing customer, I cannot fault them!

I have been a customer of XE money exchange for a number of years, since moving from the UK to live in the Czech Republic. Throughout this time, the online application for a money transfer, has never let me down and the money normally arrives in my Czech bank account within 24 hours or so. The only time that I have experienced a short delay, is if I have ordered money on a Friday afternoon/evening, my bank doesn't receive it until the following working day ie. Monday. This has never caused me any problem. On the few occasions that I have had to telephone XE money, my calls were answered promptly, the staff couldn't be more helpful and I was dealt with most professionally. I cannot fault them, in all the years I have been a customer, so much so, that I have recommended them to family and friends. Keep up the good work!

Transfer with respect .

Before i used Wise till i transferred a large sum and all hell broke loose and was treated like a criminal !

Xe is relaxed and treats its customers with respect and is from now on my preferred transfer company

Very poor service

In the past excellent service.
Now, very negative experience.
For a money transfer they ask for additional questions, which is ok. They have received the answers within 24hours and 6days after the transfer started, there is still no movement from XE.
Don’t use them.

Was always quick, now it's even quicker....

I've been using XE Money Transfer for international wires between the US, Germany, and Austria for the last 3+ years. The speed-of-service (from the US, to XE, to the international bank) has improved significantly in the last 12-months - literally same day service for 2+ stages of the transfer). The service has always been dependable and reliable since I began using XE. I recommend the service.

Alex our account manager excelled.

Alex our account manager was extremely helpful especially when we hit a snag with our US Bank messing up the second transfer. He sorted without any fuss and all went through without a hitch.

XE.com offers great rates.

Once set up and verified it is very easy to transfer money overseas on the XE.com site. The exchange rates are also really much better than other providers.

using XE for years

I have been using XE for years to transfer money between currencies, haven't counted, but easily 15x total. I much prefer them to Banks. The service is free, they use the float to make their money, which, in my opinion is fair enough. The banks do that as well, and charge a sizable fee to boot.

I deducted one star for being difficult…

I deducted one star for being difficult to log in. Every time they update Android OS on my phone the Xe app forgets that I have asked for it to use my bio-metric login. Then I have to go dig out my password and re-enable touch ID. It's a minor annoyance, but annoying all the same.

I was afraid to use this company for…

I was afraid to use this company for 1st time but after doing a deep research online I decided to use it and I am very pleased with the outcome. My money has arrived safely and quickly the exchange rate was fantastic and on the top of that I have a £20 gift card! Thank you. I started recommending it to my friends and so far they have the same experience. 100% recommend

Service too, too slow

The website is ok, but the serves is poor. I had to find a new transfer service, and choose Xe because of its rating. Sent two small transfer to see how it worked, Two real problems. the time it took to transfer the money was from 8-14 days, much, much too long. One never went to the recipient because there was an intermediate bank and that bank messed up the documentation. The fellow who handled the correction was excellent.

Sending money by ACH is a little slower than other payment methods. This is because we need to receive your money before we can transfer it recipient,to your recipient and it can take up to 4 working days to arrive with us.

Once we’ve received your money, your recipient should receive it within 1-4 working days.

The rate and quote updates give you confidence you are getting the best possible exchange.
The 24 hour turnaround definitely a bonus.
Establishing an XE account was simple as is using the XE app.

Appalling service

Appalling customer service. I used to be a HiFx customer until Xe bought them out. They closed my account due to inactivity (I only transfer occasionally), then reactivated it on request, only to close it again a few weeks later with no warning or notification. The process to reactivate takes time, by which time the rates have moved. Absolutely useless and appalling treatment of a client who has moved significant amounts of money with them and their predecessor firm over many years. I'm going elsewhere.
