Can things only get better for England?

Football and politics | Tactical voting | Dyslexia | Election jinx | Boris Johnson | Polling song | Note for the new chancellor

Janet Fraser
Twickenham, London

Warwick Hillman (Letters, 2 May) should not dismiss his local Labour candidate for calling Liz Truss “wreckless”. Surely dyslexic people can work as MPs, or in their offices?
Margaret Squires
St Andrews, Fife

On Tuesday Boris Johnson said Labour will be “the most leftwing government since the war”. Until then I had been undecided, but now I’ll definitely vote Labour.
Brian Woolland
Salisbury

The song for Thursday (Letters, 2 July)? Kick Out the Tories by the Newtown Neurotics.
Mark Schulz
Uckfield, East Sussex

Jeremy Hunt should do the decent thing and leave a note saying “Even less than no money left”.
Alan Pearson
Durham
