An article about politics in India said: “Minorities such as Muslims, who number more than 200 million in a population of nearly 1.5 million, have faced increased persecution and discrimination…”. The latter figure should, of course, have been 1.5 billion (Fears Modi will become ‘more aggressive’ despite loss of majority, 18 June, p30). This error was in our print edition only.
