Ross Miller is Polygon’s Senior Commerce Editor for the summer, temporarily filling in while its current Commerce Editor speedruns parenting, and is responsible for curating the best deals in gaming, tech, and entertainment.

Ross has nearly 20 years of experience in and around media, which, it turns out, is very horrifying to realize mid-sentence. He started as a writer for Joystiq (RIP) and Engadget during college, and later was one of the founding editors of The Verge. (As to the college bit, he earned bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and telecommunication arts from the University of Georgia.) Throughout his original tenure at Vox Media, Ross worked across news, podcasts, video, special projects, audience strategy, and business development for both The Verge and Polygon because he thought "gotta catch ’em all" was a good mantra to borrow for job titles.

After leaving Vox Media the first time in 2020, Ross adopted a dog, which is very wonderful and he won’t shut up about it. In that time, he has also acted as an outside consultant for various game companies on limited engagements, with a focus on improving their user experience design. He’s not involved in any editorial coverage of games he has worked on.
