Any ideas on how to get this to work with the new official update that introduced a FOV slider in game?

While the in-game slider works just fine to adjust the FOV, it does not seem to recognize the camera tweak in this file that pulls the camera back to show more of the hands/weapons. I prefer this zoomed out camera over the zoomed in close to the camera the default game has.

I've noticed that too. Worked fine until the recent update.

Haven't tested it out myself yet but you could try: SetGS "fFlightCameraFOV:FlightCamera" 100.00 in the console and see if it works.

EDIT: Also there is this: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1251?tab=posts, I'd check the commands in the posts tab, but the author included a text file with his settings.

I have a weird issue that I don't see anyone else reporting, for me the FOV change works fine. But the weapon's view model
gets broken, it's stuck in a low quality LOD. This only happens outside of settlements

I have the exact problem and have been messing with the game for hours. I can't seem to get rid of the issue.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I can't get this to work. I downloaded the 'StarfieldCustom.ini', and placed it into the Documents>My Games>Starfield folder, launched the game and it didn't work. I own the game on steam, not game pass. Even after talking to Sarah the FOV doesn't change. Is there something I need to type into the console to get it to work? What am I doing wrong here?

Its extremely weird but maybe try SetiniSetting "fFPWorldFOV:Camera" 100 in the console and tell me what happens after talking to someone. For me it worked just with those settings placed in the ini :/

By the way, if you use any mod, it should look like this (unless of course other tweaks are inserted).

Note that using Console commands can disable Achievements, unless you install the mod to bypass this penalty.

This is also not moving the viewmodel for me either. Thank you for this nevertheless. I tried changing all the settings around since I'm playing at 5760x1080 with 3 monitors, but nothing changes that stubborn viewmodel.

You'll need to Hex edit your Starfield.exe file to get it to run at 5120x1440 as far as im aware

I'm having trouble with Starfield not allowing me to select 5760X1080. I too am running triple monitor, but cannot find a setting that lets me play the game that way. Are there any fixes out there that anyone is aware of? I've not had any luck so far - thanks!

    This should be stickied.

Thanks to Jjoncm1, it should be noted that traveling to a new moon/world will change the weapon FOV; you do not have to create a new save.

What's the actual difference between this and some of the other ones, I realise this has more settings in it but what exactly do all of those settings correspond to in game.

I managed to find a fix the view model of the gun(and arms) resetting every time. Seems like it was fDefaultFOV that was causing the issue.
Here's hoping bethesda actually implements a proper FOV slider.

Yeah hopefully, I'm just glad this game doesn't have that stupid fov problem with the pipboy/computers.
