About this mod

Updated to work with ReShade version 5. The focus of this shader is to give you 3 vastly different presets, each with their own atmosphere. I have gotten very good feedback on all of my shaders, and I don't want to disappoint. Therefore, you can feel safe that this is worth your time. Any feedback is amazing, and I love you for it. <3

TURN THE PRESET OFF IN THE MAIN MENU. You can change the hotkey in the options (I usually bind it to "scroll lock").

This mod uses, across all 3 versions:

- sharpening. This highlights distant details and also smaller details of closer objects. The specifics and intensity change between versions.

- General colour and brightness manipulation; this one is vastly different between versions. I generally desaturated/de-vibranced (? haha) it to remove the unappealing colour pallet of the remake. It looked too cartoony.

- simulated global lumination. It is expensive in performance but does a lot to subtly make the world more coherent when it comes to lighting.

- a strange thing. I can't remember the name of it, and it's really new. It makes bright and dark areas affect areas around them, making it more of a co-responding trait.

Installation:

- For this mod, you will need a program called "ReShade".

- When you are going to select the rendering api it uses, select DirectX 10 and above.

- Additionally, install (it shows up in the normal installation process) all shader packs. Just check all the boxes.

- To activate the shader, you need WinRar. Just unpack what you installed from this mod page, then place it where you want it. To activate it, you need to open ReShade and at the top of the long list of effects, just double-click on the preset name and find it in your files. There are tutorials on how to do this too, if it is confusing.

Video tutorial:

- I have made a youtube tutorial for how to download and use the program:

Thank you for reading everything that I wrote. If you like it, it would mean the world to me if you show other people, make videos, submit photos, endorse or share your thoughts. I have been making shaders for a long time now, but my appreciation for the entire process and all the engagement never dwindles.

if you want to contact me, you can do it through this app or through email. my email is: [email protected]

have fun!
