Rise of Three Kingdoms is a total conversion mod for Medieval II: Total War: Kingdoms, with the aim of the mod being to completely recreate the Three Kingdoms Era (190 to 280 CE) as accurate and true to history as possible. The mod features hundreds of historic characters with their own unique biographies and titles, dozens of period accurate armaments, unique mechanics to either usurp the throne and establish your own dynasty or support the restoration of the Han, historic mission trees for the five main factions from the era, and the inclusion of various non-Han peoples such as the Nanman, Xianbei, Nanyue, and Goguryeo.

Description

The version 6.3 Update adds dozens of new, unique battle models to hero characters (utilizing TW3K assets), makes various visual improvements to many existing units, overhauls the economic system of China, and adds numerous minor fixes, updates, and tweaks to various aspects of the mod.

Can I ask a question? Is there a possibility that they can maintain their character model if ever I can bribe them? That would be great for any heroes of well-known characters in the game.

Not on the campaign map, no. Can only be done with the battle models.

No, because the engine doesn’t work like that, and also the character models are too complex (vertex & triangle count) for the campaign map - just one of them will cause the game to crash.

I follow this mod from years ago, and it's always a pleasure to check on updates. This is one of the greatest mods I've ever played so far, and even with such an old game engine, it's a beautiful wonder. I'm so glad your team is way more dedicated than CA itself, and, indeed, aside Shogun 2, there's nothing worth trying from them, or any predatory DLC they can do.

The passion and skill involved on this mod shines brightly.

Have you read the top of their unit info? It states where they can be retrained and that only one of the unit can ever exist.

Thank you so much, Seether and others, for this great mod for the several past years! <3

Quick question: Is there a chance that you will combine 6.0 + 6.2 + 6.3 into a single download? Cheers! :)

More than likely, yes. However, I have no time frame for that to happen

While part of me is sad to see the Dynasty Warriors models go given their narmy, turn-of-the-decade charm, at this point your dedication to delivering an authentic experience is only rivaled by Arachir's to DaC.
