While the world becomes a more divisive, tumultuous, anxiety-producing place by the day in Summer 2024, there’s something almost comforting about a movie that, like the no-nonsense cop of its title, gets the job done.

It’s a film of familiar pleasures, but like Harold Faltermeyer’s still infectiously enjoyable synth-pop theme, they do remain highly pleasurable.
Murphy reminds us, albeit at a lower temperature, what caused so many heads to laugh themselves off shoulders during his pomp.

This is a movie that doesn’t just heart the Eighties. It actually wishes it still were the Eighties, casting a fond glance to a simpler, more star-driven blockbuster era. Two hours later, however, and the thrill of getting this particular banana in your tailpipe feels like the most distant of memories.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is the cinematic equivalent of trying on your prom suit from 1984. Maybe it still fits, but not in the places it used to, and if you try to moonwalk, you’ll probably get a hernia.
To be honest, I didn't expect it to go well. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It felt like an old-school movie, free of any agenda or wokeness. The film evoked a lot of nostalgia with its classic camera work, minimal CGI, and familiar music and sayings. Overall, "Axel F" feels like a movie straight from the 80s or 90s. We need more movies like this. All in all, it’s a great and entertaining sequel.

"Heavy Hitters 4" is a movie that will certainly captivate those who know the franchise, whether it's Eddie Murphy's charismatic performance, the nostalgic touch it evokes, the reintroduction of the original cast or the striking 80s **** fourth film in the franchise fails to surpass the 1984 feature, presenting a predictable plot, but still achieving a level of quality that places it among the best. Highlights include the excellent use of humor, with Eddie Murphy shining, and the good action scenes directed by Mark Molloy. The cast, despite their advanced age, was no obstacle for the director. The action in the movie was a pleasant **** production captivates mainly through nostalgia, playing this role excellently. It's clear that "Heavy Hitters 4" doesn't seek to innovate the franchise, but rather to revitalize it, demonstrating that Axel Foley still has a lot to offer. Although it's aimed at fans, this film can serve as an introduction for younger audiences to one of the biggest comedy franchises of the 80s. "Heavy Hitters 4" is a pleasant comedy, with a simple plot that relies on emotional appeal and nostalgia. It's a delight to watch Eddie Murphy in action.Translated with **** (free version)

They destroyed one of the best movie soundtracks in film history! The movie itself is quite entertaining, but the fascination of the old BHC movies is gone. I'm a big fan of the old movies. This one isn't as funny anymore.
