So we all know it's coming home right? I'm well aware that all the team will be boozing it up on Sunday night and probably not being very productive on Monday morning I've decided to help them out a bit. So instead of the normal 9am till 5pm I have decided that all of Team Breakout on Monday will be working 7am till 7pm instead! The extra 4 hours in the office should more than make up for them being a bit unproductive and tired. I had a big meeting scheduled today that I'd put quite a bit of prep in for and was hopefully to close a fairly big deal. So when I woke up at 7am to an email asking to reschedule I was really gutted...... ....for about 5 mins! Then I realised it actually freed up my day so I immediately woke up my eldest daughter Lyla and said I was taking her to Alton Towers for some quality Dad and daughter time. I talked her through the "eat the frog" concept on the way there so we immediately started with the 2 scariest rides and I'm pleased to say she is now a scary roller coaster enthusiast. I am a very proud Dad today, work can wait until tomorrow! #DadAndDaughter #ThisIsntFacebook #WorkCanWait

Why Content is King, but Context is God: We've all heard the phrase 'Content is King' in when it comes to SEO. But here's a hard truth: even the best content can fail if it lacks proper context. What do I mean by context? User Intent: Understanding why someone is searching for a particular term. Are they looking to buy, learn, or compare? Audience Relevance: Is your content tailored to your specific audience's needs, problems, and language? Timeliness: Is your content up-to-date and relevant to current trends or events? Platform Suitability: Is your content optimized for the platform it's on? A LinkedIn post isn't a Twitter thread isn't a blog article. Brand Voice: Does your content align with your overall brand personality and values? Creating great content isn't enough. You need to create the right content, for the right people, at the right time, in the right place. My Dad said something interesting to me yesterday: "Don't vote in your best interests. Think about the most vulnerable person you know and vote for the party you think is in their best interests." A good plan I think, so that's what I'll be doing today.

"Take it or Leave it" I left it. Somebody tried to negotiate with me recently. Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind negotiating. I get it. I try and negotiate on everything but here are my rules on negotiating prices. If you want a cheaper price then I want some commitment back. If you want the price reduced then I want you to commit to a longer term. If you want the price reduced then I want you to pay upfront. If you want the price reduced then I want you to commit to minimum orders. But if you want the standard terms, the same as everybody else who pays full price, and you want 20% off? If you want me to do everything for you and be unwilling to give anything back? If you look me in the eye, are unwilling to budge and simply say "take it or leave it"? Nah - I think I'll leave it thanks. Value your services. Value what you do. If you don't then nobody else will. Can you relate to this?
