What are the most effective ways to evaluate your success as a YouTuber?
In order to create content that actually does its job correctly, it’s pretty much essential to attain feedback. Too many creators make content for simply for themselves, rather than listening to what their target market wants. AND some validate their ideas through the wrong feedback loops too (chasing likes/engagement etc) Which is why I believe it’s absolutely crucial to be intentional with your content, and understand the reason WHY you’re creating it. Only then can you truly measure how effective it’s been. Did you position the video for more exposure? To educate? Or simply to get leads/enquiries? Begin with the end in mind, and watch your feedback improve. Which in turn, will improve your content too.

What are the most effective ways to evaluate your success as a YouTuber?
Whilst I firmly believe in goal-setting, I simply don’t think smart goals are enough. It’s somewhat of a buzz-phrase that seems to have caught on over recent years. Having a vision is great, but what matters most is action. So, once a I have a goal and a reason why, I rely on a framework I created called FORM. - FIRST THING (the very first step to take) - ONE OFF (tasks that I must only perform once) - REPEATABLE (tasks to execute consistently) - MEASURABLES (how progress is monitored) Having these in place has helped me see much more success than setting SMART goals ever has. I hope this is helpful!

What are the most effective ways to evaluate your success as a YouTuber?
Whilst some principles of the way humans like to consume content will never change, experimentation is always vital. In a time where lots of content is the same, it’s the fresh, innovative and original concepts that will cut through the noise and gain the most traction. However, the quest to discovering/creating these concepts usually requires testing and experimentation. Two major elements that we’ve been toying with are creating long form list style videos with the aim to split them into short form that can be distributed as standalone pieces, and also posting 10+ minute videos directly onto other platforms, such as LinkedIn… rather than attempting to drive traffic away from the native platform.
