CORnerstone Risk Solutions, IMA's captive and program design management group, is seeking an Underwriting Manager to join our team! This person will be responsible for leading the strategic design, deployment, and ongoing management of underwriting services for CORnerstone's property and casualty program. A successful applicant will possess strong business and financial acumen, effectively build relationships within the team and across the enterprise, have self-direction, and a strong technological background. This position is eligible for remote work!
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Maintaining high-quality standards and control across all facets of CORnerstone underwriting operations, including:
Oversight of program renewals
Crafting new program designs
Conduct individual account underwriting for prospects and renewals
Manage rate, quote, and issuance systems and other data management systems
Prepare and present reports detailing underwriting activities, performance, and key metrics
Develop and enforce underwriting policies and procedures
Conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with IMA distribution partners, acting as the liaison between Cornerstone and partner agencies
Train, lead, and manage underwriting staff assigned, ensuring efficient workflow, timely task completion, and adherence to IMA policies and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with Cornerstone leadership to develop new program opportunities and accounts
Support and demonstrate IMA’s core values
Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion
Required Skills And Experiences
5-10 years of program underwriting experience required
Knowledge of self-insurance techniques and captive insurance structures required
Bachelor's degree required
Experience with Microsoft Office products required (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel
Moderate travel required

Salary Range
$106,000—$181,000 USD
