Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Part-Time Accounting Manager to join our team in the United States. This critical role will be responsible for managing our accounting operations, including overseeing compliance with both financial reporting and operational regulations, and managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical accounting expertise, strategic thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and a dedication to maintaining financial integrity and operational excellence.

• Oversee all areas of the accounting department, including AP, AR, general ledger, payroll, bank reconciliations, revenue recognition, and the reconciliation process.
• Ensure the creation of accurate and timely financial reports and adherence to the month-end close process.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the integrity of all financial transactions.
• Coordinate the company's annual audit with external auditors, ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other financial regulations and standards.

• Ensure alignment with financial regulations as well as broader compliance with business operations standards and practices.
• Keep abreast of changes in federal, state, and local reporting requirements and tax filings, including but not limited to income tax, sales tax, and payroll taxes.
• Implement necessary internal policy and procedure changes in response to new legislation or business requirements.
• Collaborate with the legal team to understand fiscal and contractual obligations, ensuring full compliance across financial and operational dimensions.

• AP and AR functions, ensuring efficient and accurate invoice processing, payments, and collections.
• Closely monitor cash flow and manage company funds to meet business needs.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers and clients to ensure smooth transaction processes.

• Produce financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis to identify trends and deliver insights to guide decision-making at the senior management level.
• Support in budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or similar certification is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a management capacity.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting principles and practices, and the regulatory landscape in the United States.
• Expertise in financial reporting, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process, including reconciliations.
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Exceptional analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy in financial management.
• Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
