Renewable energy alone can't get us to net zero emissions. Sectors like cement, steel, and chemical manufacturing need a different solution. That's where carbon capture and storage (CCS) comes in. At Nexus PMG, we're leveraging CCS as a key component in decarbonization strategies for projects in hard-to-abate industries such as aviation. #carboncapture #decarbonization #energytransition

The USDA has released a Request for Information on the production of biofuel feedstocks using climate-smart practices. This initiative aims to understand and verify the impact of climate-smart farming on GHG emissions from biofuel feedstock crops. This request follows the announcement of $25.5 million in funding to improve climate-smart agricultural practices that reduce the carbon intensity of biomass feedstocks used for biofuel production.
The USDA on June 26 launched a RFI seeking public comments on procedures for quantifying, reporting and verifying the effect of climate-smart farming practices on the GHG emissions associated with U.S.-grown biofuel feedstocks. #ethanol https://lnkd.in/gDfzHz2z

🛫 The International Energy Agency (IEA) Bioenergy Rask 39 just published a progress report on SAF commercialization. According to the report, in 2022, SAF production reached 300-450 million liters, up from 100 million liters in 2021. Although this is a significant improvement, it's only a fraction of a percentage of the 90 billion gallons of net-neutral SAF needed to decarbonize the aviation industry. The report highlights the need to scale biomass gasification and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, an area of focus for our subsidiary Pathway Energy. Click below for the full report.
