Video: Water enters homes, floods streets in Delhi's Bawana after canal breach

Water entered houses in the Bawana area in New Delhi on Thursday morning after a breach occurred in the Munak canal barrage in North Delhi. People were seen wading through the water as streets remained flooded. Delhi Minister Atishi said that repair works have been initiated, and the Delhi government is coordinating with the Haryana government, which manages the barrage. "Early this morning, there was a breach in one of the sub-branches of the Munak Canal. Delhi Jal Board is working closely with the Haryana Irrigation Department, which maintains the Munak Canal. Water has been diverted to another sub-branch of the canal. Repair work has already begun and will be completed by this afternoon. The breached sub-branch of the canal will be operational again by tomorrow," the minister said.
