My only gripes against Brawl were the complete nerfing of Samus and several Zelda chars, and the fact they took out Mewtwo. I liked the game apart from that (only played offline on friends' systems).

there are too many problems with brawl

intended gameplay mechanics and unintended gameplay mechanics make it an absolutely terrible competitive game. melee isn't the best competitive game either but it had speed / precision / massive emphasis on technical/execution based stuff which made it cool

outside of competitive play it is still somewhat of a bore to play, everything is really floaty, dying is hard
