I made mistakes in talking Wardlow and Juice Robinson. Obviously they were great the week I picked them that helped me win the Wildcard Week for 2 wins but my thinking at the time that Wardlow would have a squash for the majority leading up to Full Gear but the last 3 weeks he has nothing but pre taped promos which is useless to me!

And I thought Juice and The Gunns would beef up on Trios wins and would pivot into a feud with Acclaimed for the Trios Titles….still could happen but after Full Gear which is no help to me.

I really have nothing to match TBD’s in terms of MJF’s 2 Title Matches and that 8 Man Tag Team Street Fight…..I’m going to get destroyed!

I was tempted to go for Wardlow if I got the chance, but he’s been so sporadic in the past that I knew he wasn’t worth the risk even if you hadn’t taken him. Of course, the Elite have also been really unreliable but dropping Matt is now biting me in the ass. After Claudio talked about wanting to challenge Okada to get revenge for Bryan’s face, I was hoping that match would get added to Full Gear, but that looks unlikely now. I’m going to be so salty if I lose by less than what Matt Buck scores while Mr. Clean takes another week off.

The Miz has turned out to be quite the last-minute addition to my team. With Zayn/JD and Rollins/Dom practically canceling each other out this week, it was nice to have Miz (and McIntyre to a lesser extent) put some work in to give me a lead heading into NXT tomorrow night. My concern is MJF will go it alone against the Ass Boys and manage to retain without Joe’s help, but then has to call on him in the main event … which would be better than nothing, but not what I need. Also not too optimistic that Shida’s retaining. My only PPV winner might be Darby, and Copeland will still probably outscore him. I’ll need a cushion of at least 40 points going in to feel like I have a decent chance, so we’ll see how the Friday shows go for me.

Well, damn, the AEW shows tonight were a nice surprise! Didn't expect Christian to appear on both shows, let alone defend his title. And look who decided to show back up to work just in time! Better late than never, Claudio, though if I lose it could still well be because I kept him instead of Matt Buck. Plus Joe confirmed to tag with MJF. I haven't watched Smackdown yet, but unless Tez went HAM, I should have enough of a lead to make me feel a lot more confident about my odds.

TBD/Buffy still looks like a foregone conclusion, though.

Man, I forgot that Collision was even on tonight. For some reason I had the PPV being on Sunday with Collision on Saturday in my head. Our match has been full of surprises this week. Could've done with Christian not defending his title just before the PPV. I'm not confident going into the PPV, but it's all to play for. At least a few things have worked in my favour tonight. Glad that the Tag Title match is now a ladder match, chance to at least get some FO points even if Black/Brody don't win the belts. Really my chances hang on Adam Page and Brody King getting a shit load of points. And of course Claudio has to pop up with a match at the death. Max Caster has been a big miss this week, hopefully he shows up at some point in the PPV to score some points. Otherwise, I'm not sure my AEW roster has enough in the 3 confirmed matches to AWS' 6. Missed the 1st half of Smackdown so I'm not sure how much Kairi did, Montez and a couple of surprise appearances were welcome though.

If I lose, I'm blaming Kyle Fletcher for being a useless bastard in a Street Fight, scoring a pitiful 20 points. But by the looks of things TBD has this season in the bag. Blow out Semi win and stacked roster for Elimination Chamber.

It's a good thing Buffy had Dawkins on the bench! I've built enough of a lead that I should win by a comfortable margin regardless of what happens at Full Gear. I've also set myself up pretty nicely for the finals next week with Seth, Dom, and Charlotte (and probably Drew) all competing in WarGames, as well as Miz and Santos having PPV matches. Well, it turns out I didn't even need Claudio to return after all. In fact, I would've won even without Claudio or Joe's Zero Hour contributions, so I guess I had a better PPV showing than I realized. Sadly I can't really enjoy it since I know I'm losing next week, and probably very decisively. Maybe I'm being overly defeatist again, but Reigns has left me high and dry, Shida lost the title again, and Darby is going to be busy trying not to die climbing Everest, so I'm not gonna have a lot of ways to come out on top over TBD's stacked roster. Still, this is the first time in 22 seasons that TBD and I have met in the finals despite both of us making playoffs every season, so that at least makes it feel an historic.

It wouldn’t have been on Smackdown, since the challengers are both on the Raw roster, but I was hoping for the kickoff. The whole reason I picked up Piper was that with both brands getting GMs and emphasizing a “friendly” rivalry, I figured they were doing a Raw vs Smackdown theme for SS again, and she would’ve likely been on the Raw women’s team. So that was obviously a mistake, I should’ve taken Carlito like I was originally thinking.

I can't imagine I missed anything that would give AWS 40+ points, so congrats to me for my 3rd straight title win and my 5th championship overall! I think it would have made for a better story if Shotz somehow made the finals after his record last season, but as it stands, the reign of terror continues! Just like last season, I can pinpoint the exact mistake that cost me the whole thing: dropping Bianca Belair. If I’d somehow known Reigns would be sitting Survivor Series out, I’d have dropped his ass midway though the season and let her ride my bench instead. Even despite dropping her, I could’ve gotten her back the weekend before she returned since I had a hunch she’d come back after the Charlotte/Iyo match last month, but I wasn’t fully confident so I went with the “safer” choice in Shida, who of course was useless this week when it really counted. So I directly cost myself the season with that one move.

Congrats to TBD. One of these seasons I’m going to manage to hold onto my most valuable talent for finals week, and then my time will come again!

After such a shit season last time around, who’d have thought I’d do so well this year? If only I could have squeezed past AWS in the Semis. Shows how mad this game can be. Thought I’d beat AWS in the semis and get crushed in the final. Turns out I lost the semi, but would have had the upset win in the final.
