This thread is for the announcement of GMs, selection of team cities, and any other last minute league business before the draft. This thread will be locked at the start of the draft.

For those of you who are not on the above list of GMs, you can still try to become an Assistant GM on one of the teams. Everybody who signed up and did not get a franchise is in the pool of names eligible to take over a team should an opening become available.

For the GMs, you may now select what city you want for your team. I reserve the right to not allow your city based on size and/or familiarity. I have made a list of choices which includes at least one city from every state in the USA that you can pick from, but you are not limited to the cities on this list. You may also choose a state or province, which may or may not be allowed (nobody is getting to call Alberta). This will be first come, first serve. If you want to pick a city not on this list, you are limited to non-NHL cities from the United States of America and Canada.

Darn... I just want to put it out there that I am looking to be an assistant GM. I'm sure Dquigly can vouch for me that I am very committed, active and competitive. I love being in fantasy leagues and talking about it on MSN. I do not want to miss out on this opportunity.

This is my tentative jersey design. The logo is official.

The jersey's will be touched up to look clearner before I go to bed.

This is because during that Mason for Avery trade I got some marginal use out of Avery when you got nothing out of Mason, isn't it.

Well, nuts. I was getting a feeling it was going to go this way, especially with the amount I post in the champs league threads.

Anyways, I'm available to anyone that wants to have an assistant GM. Otherwise I'll be back for champs league this coming season.

The final roster was a deliberate effort to include not just the most active board members, but also some people with a strong fantasy hockey history here. M2D's record as a member of this board's fantasy hockey community is impeccable - years of active participation including willingness to initiate trade discussions, and a good deal of past success.

M2D talks trade about 17 hours a day. Like tmg there is a balance between both types of posters/players.

There was honestly about 25+ people that had really strong resumes, so it came down to picking apart small things for the bubble players.

I hope people see the usefulness in having a Co-GM and get some of the other strong bubble players in so that more people can enjoy.

Someone can probably make a better one.

I hate to sound like I am stealing an idea from Spartan, but I may need to resurrect a team of my own by bringing back the Oakland Seals.

That might help my lack of photo editing/uniform design skills.

Team name is currently penciled in as: The Victoria Reign. Not sure if I'll go with the spelling or just Rain.

Or I could go with the Victoria Pan Handlers.

Hehe, this is great stuff. I just got home from my vacation a few minutes ago, so i will soon pick my city and all that good stuff, as well as make me a nice little jersey. :D

Alright, im ganna go back home again where I just came from, you listed Omaha, Nebraska. So i'll take that, but im going to move it a few miles down the interstate put it between Lincoln and Omaha, and stop it in Ashland, Nebraska, setting up near the SAC Museum.

Can someone explain to me why we are so limited in what city we can pick? Why no NHL cities, and why no cities outsite North America?
