I've been reading some of the RAPTOR analysis, and I felt the need to share that 67 point guards played at least 1000 minutes in 2021. Among those players, Ball ranked:

• 27th in defensive box score RAPTOR
• 47th in defensive on/off RAPTOR
• 31st in defensive total RAPTOR

If you want to consider him at SG, he'd rank 60th of 97.

That paints a picture of him as mediocre defensively when viewed as a point guard, or a tick below average as a shooting guard. Is that good? No. But it's not bad, either.

So I guess that just leaves us to wonder whether or not Ball and Graham (the 13th ranked defender at PG) fit together....
