In the interest of getting to business ASAP, an extended intro post is put on the back burner in favor of scheduling a draft time.

I inputted times as Eastern, but you can set your own time zone when you fill it out so as to not confuse you on the times.

All times listed are start times. Expect the draft to take a couple hours at minimum.

Start times are listed at even hours, but may have to be adjusted slightly depending on Yahoo's availability of draft slots. (9pm start may be 9:15 or 9:30) The sooner we can lock this down the better.

Filled in the doodle. I marked no on the 5th and 6th because I have a midterm the 7th that I should study for. If those turn out to be the dates that everyone else chooses, I can make them, it's just not preferable.

I put my availability in. I put that I am available at 6PM PST on certain dates although sometimes because of shitty traffic I get home after that. If I don't check those boxes though, I limit my availability quite a bit.

In - full disclosure, I forgot to check my calendar at work today, at least in regards to the draft slot, but I'm pretty solid any week day. Weekends will be the only iffy ones.

if there's no days that work for everyone, maybe we pick a day that works for everyone but the most unavailable? like, just add up the available days and whoever is most difficult to schedule around loses out.

Looks like no times with everyone available, or even with 13/14 available. Some of the slots where I said no it's not guaranteed I can't make it, so I will try to make most times work.

Only super firm no is Oct 3rd (my other draft).

Sunday evenings are great for me usually but this Sunday and next both cause problems. One of them is Thanksgiving too.

No 13/14 available as three people (me being one of them, I'm ok with any time) never filled it out. Though drkay did fill it out and she's not even in T1 unless something changed and I wasn't informed :^O I'm hoping to get a PM back from somebody. Either way we'll get a time locked in tomorrow.

Yeh, I was openly mocking Randal when he took Reimer in the 13th. He was all "best goalie left" and I was like "There are still starters on the board, dude" and he was all "Like I'm going to take an Oilers or Sabres goalie" and I'm like "Yoink!".

Truu story.

Cam talbot has had 1 year as a starter on a terrible team with bad defense. Reimer is a back up to a very old goalie who was questionable on last year's playoffs on a very good team. As a 3rd goalie, I'll take my chances

Playoffs don't matter worth shit and you know it. Pretty much all of the elite goalies have had multiple crappy playoff series, and that hasn't changed their superior regular season performances or the games they receive in regular season.

I think it depends on ... is Talbot one's number 1 goalie? Number 2? Number 3?

Obviously I'd be scared as hell if he was my number 1. I would instantly count you out to win the league or do very well. As a number 2 he's more than fine. He put up good solid all around numbers, DESPITE his terrible team, and he's clear and away the number 1 in Edmonton which means he is going to get like 60 starts to Reimer's .. 20 or 25?

As a third goalie.. I could go either way. Talbot has more chances to get the opportunity to get the win or get you the W in goalie stats towards the end of the week, Reimer has less chances to do this, but when he does get the start, I would bet on him collecting better overall stats than Talbot for sure in virtually any given game.

No I haven't updated rules / rosters yet. Currently it would be default Yahoo settings, as I had to create the league from scratch. Will be done this weekend.

Hey, last year looks like we played with SOG+GWG, this year you have it with just GWG? What are the official settings?

Official Yahoo default stats are SOG and not GWG.

The default Champs has used (dating back to when they were Yahoo defaults) are GWG and not SOG.

Though some commissioners have overridden the default in recent years.

Yeah, I think Ineb added SOG after a vote but the vote didn't call for removal of GWG. But I expect Ineb's vote was to set the stat cats for T1 for that year, not in perpetuity. Champs default is GWG on SOG off, and any deviation from that is handled a la carte (though we kinda got started too late this year for thorough rule voting).

I just asked T2 commish Randal to send me what the stat categories were there because I knew we ran with default Champs league settings last year. As I wasn't in T1 last year I couldn't renew it and copy the settings over. I didn't know T1 used SOG last year, and I'm not necessarily opposed to using it again but like tmg says we're running out of time. I can't even get everybody to join the league.
