Does ZZZ Have Co-op? - Multiplayer Explained
If you’re looking for a Zenless Zone Zero co-op or multiplayer option, you may have difficulty finding it. The multiplayer modes aren’t too obvious, but if you know where to look, it’s certainly possible to join other players.
Here’s how to play Zenless Zone Zero with friends.
Zenless Zone Zero Multiplayer
Unfortunately, Zenless Zone Zero doesn’t have a co-op option that allows you to hop into another player’s world. That said, you can still play mini-games with your friends or team up for a combat challenge. Here’s how to do so:

- Arcade games. Enter the Godfinger Arcade on Sixth Street, and choose a mini-game. At the moment of writing, only Soul Hounds III - Group Hunt and Snake Duel - Clash are available for multiplayer. After selecting a game, you can click the ‘plus’ sign to invite friends or the ‘match’ button to join random players. Both games allow four players in total.
- The Reckless Challenge. Go to the Random Play store and enter the Video Archive (staff room). See the VR Device in the corner? Open it to find several combat challenges, one of which is the Reckless Challenge. Click on it, then select ‘multiplayer’ instead of ‘solo’ in the bottom right corner. As you’ll be matched with two other players in this Zenless Zone Zero co-op mode, it’s not possible to swap characters. Instead, all three of you will be playing a single character throughout the fight, but you can still use the ‘parry’ option. Beware that the Reckless Challenge is a battle against a Weekly Boss, which means you can only grab the rewards up to three times a week.
And that’s the current extent of Zenless Zone Zero’s co-op. If you need more companions, why not check the current banners and find yourself some new Agents to explore the Hollows with? Good luck!
